Master Planning Grid: Master Fields & Games Schedule
Participating Teams: Western Nationals 2015

Sacramento and Placer County will host to the 15th annual Western Nationals for the third straight year. Last year’s highly competitive tournament drew 117 teams. The winners of the SoCal Cup and Nor-Cal Cup will play each other at the Western Nationals to determine the California State Champion! Here is what players had to say:

“I have attended the last nine Western Nationals, whether in Seattle, Salt Lake City or Sacramento. This is the one special tournament that I make sure my team attends. A couple years ago we won the Westerns, and went on to win the National game during Worlds. It was one of the highlights of my softball life. Now that the Westerns Championship has a home in Sacramento it has been made even more enjoyable. Sacramento is a great place to visit. How fitting that the home base for SSUSA is also the host for this great event.”

– Art Graebe, Scrap Iron 60 Rockies (CO), Men’s 60 AAA

“The tournament was great. We had a good time. The fields were impeccable. SSUSA always does a quality job with their tournaments. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott – a great place to stay and very close to the fields. It was fun and the competition was all there.”
– Carlos A. Becerra, Fairway Ford (CA), Men’s 70 Major Plus

“It’s a big tournament with great fields and good quality teams. It’s also in a good location. There are a lot of hotels, places to go, and things to do at a very reasonable price. We love playing teams that come from all over and are excited for 2015.”
– Jeff Randall, SofaKing Softball (CA), Men’s 40 Major

“Great competition. It’s a goal to go for the Triple Grand Slam.”
– Ron McElyea, Omen 70 (CA), Men’s 70 AAA
