Teams in league: 15 teams

The Low Country Senior Softball Association, Inc. (LCSSA) is a 501 (c) (7) tax-exempt, non-profit corporation organized pursuant to the Laws of South Carolina.  LCSSA is composed of senior men, 48 years and over, who enjoy the friendships and camaraderie of slow pitch softball.  We currently maintain an e-mail roster of over 300 men and every season we can field from 12-15 teams in three separate leagues.

Each year comprises two seasons, Spring games run from March through June; and Fall games run from August through November. The League operates a morning league as well as an evening league (two divisions).  Rosters are typically composed of 14 or 15 players, and with 11 fielders (10 in the Evening League American Division), everyone plays, everyone bats, regardless of ability.

Evening league games are played every Monday and Wednesday evening. Morning league games are played on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.  Our games are played at the Hanahan fields, located at 3000 Railroad Avenue, Hanahan, SC (behind Trident Technical College).

Typically, each team plays one or two games per week, depending on the number of teams and field availability.  We play a 12 game regular season followed by a double elimination tournament.
