What is the normal speed in MPH?

What is Excessive Speed in miles per hour?

How can you tell if it's normal or excessive speed when batting at a legal pitch?

Yes the chances of dying are slim!

I doubt you really want to be in the hospital on a ventilator for a couple weeks.

What about Social Distancing in the dugouts?
How will players get in and out of the dugouts between innings?
I have seen dugouts that are tiny!
It's in and around the dugouts that the chances of getting the virus is higher than on the field of play.

Discussion: Launch Angle

Hi
I have a question for you "Bat Geeks", "Video Gurus" and any input from others.
Don't get me wrong, I do respect all your honest opinions.

Anyway, I would like to know what in your opinion is a good bat swing "Launch Angle" for hitting long balls in Slo-Pitch softball?

Less than 10 degrees?

10 degrees?

15 degrees?

20 degrees?

More than 20?

Thanks to all of you in advance for your replys!

Discussion: 2 FLEX or NOT 2 FLEX

It seems that the bat handle flex would give the bat a type of "trampoline effect" similar to that of when the ball hits the barrel. Whereas a stiff handle won't do that.

It appears the consensus is that the videos are great but the introduction music at the beginning of the videos needs to be dumped for something esle.

I don't know if there is any study on the effects of swing speed as a person ages. Maybe somebody did a study on a Golf swing. It's too bad Ray DeMarini didn't live longer, he probably would have made a video on this subject.

My Miken Triad Blackout still hasn't broke in yet.
Hundreds of hits and still not impressed.
I wonder if this new Miken is the Triad Blackout but with a different name, new paint job and 1 year warranty?

Discussion: Short Term Fixes For Cracked Bats

The other day I saw a guy that had a cracked bat. What he did to the crack was drill small holes at each end of the crack. He told me he filled the small holes with 3M Marine glue so as to evidently get some glue on the inside of the barrel and then filled the whole crack with the glue. After a few days he sanded the outside barrel glue to be smooth with the rest of the bat. He claims the bat will last for about a hundred or more batting practice hits. Does anybody out there know if this really works?

Read the above posts from dandy12....

According to dandy12 you send an e-mail to somebody and somehow your bat gets verified.

What ever that means....

Maybe that's like having the bat blessed or something.

SLOBALL1

I have never used the Rawlings Model Chute, so I don't know much about them.

From the info I got, the Rawlings Model is not near as good as the DeMarini chute. Check out the above post on this thread by SALSAKID49

If anybody out there has any experience or info on the Rawlings Chute, please post....Thank you

UPDATE

I talked to Bats Unlimited this morning.

They do not sell the DeMarini Chute.

And they are refunding my order.

So the search for the DeMarini Chute continues.....
