Discussion: tourament brackets

Dave, I think the rules committee does a great job synthesizing the needs and desires of the player population. And in odd circumstances, SSUSA did the right thing and polled the players for 4 or 5 game guarantees. You know that you'll never make everyone happy, but keep up the good work.

softball4b: I won't mention any teams as it may look like I have an agenda here, which I don't, but it is a fact.

HSquared, yes, I know for a fact that underaged players are being allowed to play for 70+ and below without being an exhibition team. I do realize there are age exemptions for teams 75+ and above. This is an SSUSA Qualifier and not a recreational tournament. I only ask about this because it seems to not be in line with Rule 13.2(4)B, and I would like to know if teams I am on in the future get the same exemption.

I'm sorry but I neglected to say this is being applied to the 70's division which I thought couldn't use underage players.

I noticed that this week's tournament in Flagstaff is accepting teams utilizing players younger than their age bracket without being an exhibition team. Is this a new rule?

My softball heaven is at the 7 field Canyons complex in St. George, Utah. They brought in Major League dirt for the infield.

Discussion: Spring World 3/21 status

With rain predicted to fall from 2am to 6am tonight, it would be extremely doubtful for any play tomorrow. If that happens, is the tournament cancelled at that point?

I'm available for Phoenix. Played 65 Major last year. Mainly an outfielder, but can play infield. Contact Terry C. for more info.

Popup to the catcher. He catches it with his back to the plate. Umpire calls time out, which precludes me from tagging up at first base. How long must the umpire wait to give me a chance to tag up before calling time?

Dave, I heard that covid rules using a non-adjoining state player is no longer allowed. Is this true?

So the 40's using senior bats are going to play on the short fields in Kingman? Better use Nerf balls.

If it is still the LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters, the ball should be the ISA Rock.

Discussion: Corona Virus (COVID-19)

So, if a 70's team goes to the ballpark to support their hometown team, and maybe a couple go out and coach the bases or mingle with the team in the stands before the game, will they get thrown out of the park? Or is this simply an insurance issue?

This is BS. To be consistent, will players over 65 be precluded from playing on an under 65 team?

Temperatures in Las Vegas are dropping to the 80's-90's range BUT, for the last four years, I've seen players go down with heat stress or dehydration. Some have taken an ambulance out of the ballpark. Please remember to stay hydrated before, during and after the games. I've been told it can hit you quickly so even if you're feeling good, keep the fluids coming for your safety.

Good luck to all and have fun.

And Dave, would it be safe to say that none of the games will be in the City of Las Vegas except for BLD?
