Rob
Thanks for the offer, but I have decided on the buying the 26 oz Big Cat Miken. Hit some balls with a 25 oz Combat yesterday and was not very impressed. Not sure if there is any real gain in bat speed over 26 or 27 oz bats. Plus the 15% Memorial Day Sale discount helped seal the deal.

Hi All
Thanks for your input. I forgot to mention that the 25 oz. Adidas Melee 2 mentioned above is the End Load version. This is a case of Bat Speed verses Bat Weight. Are there any other factors I should consider between the two bats?
I would like to buy both bats, but I don't want to spend the rest of the year sleeping in the dog house.

Hi
I'm interested in buying a new bat. I have narrowed my choices down to 2 bats.

The 2 contenders are the 26 oz Miken Big Cat and the 25 oz Adidas Melee 2.

I have heard great things about each bat.

Does any of you bat guys have any suggestions, opinions or advice?

Discussion: HELP---I just don't get it!

Over many years of playing softball and watching countless balls being hit in my direction during batting practices and games by all levels of players. I can honestly report that as having played infield and outfield while hitters were using Dudley Lightning bats, that I DO NOT see any difference in the ground ball or fly ball coming at me. If that sticky stuff radically changed the way the ball came off the bat, it would be unsafe and probably outlawed.

The Dudley Lightning Senior bat is a great bat that really doesn't need that "Gimmick" to make it any better.

At this point in time I have not heard anybody calling out to their team mates, "Watch out the batter is using a Dudley Bat", because they think the ball reacts to the differently to the sticky stuff on the bat.

So does this mean if I have the same bat problem as Mannjo had. It won't be resolved by Miken unless I can get help from Gorilla Boy?

So if the Broncos kicked the extra point they would have had a 13 point lead...so what difference did that extra point make? 13 or 14

Will somebody explain why the Denver Broncos went for the 2 point conversion after their last touchdown with about 3 minutes left in the game?

I didn't have to turn down the volume on your theme music....

But I did get a volume Blast when you started talking.

Very tricky....

You got me on that one!

The reason for the Lions dismal record all these years is largely due to William Clay Ford and his family....

Sorry, but I think Lady Gaga's version of the national anthem was every bit as good as, if not better than Whitney Houston's version!

It is a LVSSA rule that pitchers wear a face mask and have a pitching screen on the field for all pitchers. Even with that rule in place, I have still seen several pitchers get whacked! The last one was last week, a pitcher got hit on the right leg near his foot, he had to go to Quick care. Don't know if his leg was fractured.

Do you really think the bat is the only reason pitchers get hit?

You don't think a batter with a ASA bat could take out a pitcher?

The only difference between Senior Bats and USSSA bats is only 1% as tested and stamped on the bat. 1.20 bpf vs 1.21 bpf.

I am willing to wager that you will agree that your Dudley is every bit as good WITHOUT that tacky crap on your bat.

It is just a unnecessary gimmick~
