Discussion: INFIELDER or OUTFIELDER?

Situation:
Runners on 1st and 2nd.
Less than 2 Out.

Both the Shortstop and 2nd basemen are playing on the outfield grass about 50-60 feet away from the dirt infield.

Questions:
1) Is the Shortstop and 2nd baseman still considered to be playing in the infield? And still called "infielders"?

2) If a Pop Up is hit to them, where they are standing. Is the "Infield Fly Rule" still in effect?

3) How far into the outfield can an Infielder go before he is considered an Outfielder?

Does anybody have any scientific proof the bat warmers will prevent bat breakage when used in temperatures below 60 degrees?

If so please post a link where we can see it.

Your telling me the Freak Black preforms every bit as well as the Big Cat & UII and has a 1 year warranty and can be bought at a lower price? I have seen where they are now selling for less then $180. It just seems too good of a deal to be for real..

Thanks for the reply.

I have noticed that there seems to be much more interest in the Big Cat or Ultra II 2 piece than there is in the Freak Black, even though the Black has a warranty and can be bought online for less than $200.

I'm interested in the Miken Freak Black Senior with warranty....
How does it compare to Miken Big Cat & Ultra II 2 piece?
Does anybody out there have any info or experience with this bat?

Thanks

Since your videos are mostly aimed at Senior Softball players. The introduction song that would best fit your videos should be the Beatles "When I'm 64"...

Tri18
Your testing of bats would be much better if you put some sort rating system on your test results. Something like a 1-10 or a A-E rating system.
That would provide much more information for me to consider when buying a new bat. It would provide more useful information to potential customers than just watching some guy hitting balls.

On the contrary!
That bat would sell well if a senior version is made.
Seniors will grab at anything they can in hopes of getting that magic bat.

Just ask Dave V about all the inquiries he got about his "Jack Slap"!!

You must sign a waiver to play "free" on your first day.

After that you must become a paid up LVSSA member to play.

Discussion: When Is It Bat Altering?

YES,
I know about bat shaving and rolling being illegal.

But what I'm interested about is at the handle and knob side of the bat.

Is it altering....

When 1 or more knob cuffs are placed on the bat?
When the original grip is replaced with tape or rubber covering?
When the knob itself has a weight or covering over it?
When the grip is covered with layers and layers of tape to make it much thicker?
When small weights are added to the grip?
Any other changes to the handle or knob?

Is all of the above altering?
Is none of the above altering?

So where do you get year old, in the wrapper or unused bats, at half price?

I'd like to get the white 2 piece Miken Ultra 26oz. in the wrapper for half price?

Or maybe the Reebok Legend?

Who do you know is selling them?

Info please....
