Mike & Kennard,
While thinking at the plate, for most will mess up their swing, I think pitch selection has more to do with the swing than anything else…Most line drive hitters think more at the plate, while most powers hitters, as the 2 of you are! Lol... See a pitch and swing for the fences.I think, most line drive hitters try to go with the pitch & turn over the wrist on contact as to turning the wrist over in follow though like power hitters or free swingers! But as the saying goes “Some guys can hit & Some guys know how to hit”!

Neck that rule only applies to teams west of the Mississippi; North Carolina is east of the Mississippi last time I checked? Do those 2 players deserve to get Rings? Especially if the winner has already been decided?

Allan55 & Hitnrun5,
Is that really true about Hollis & the Fangrabbers already being winners in their respective divisions, therefore receiving Rings for just being there? If that's the case, I would like to receive my ring since I played & also HIT the WALKOFF home RUN that qualified the Fangabbers to be able to attend this year’s TOC!!
George Robinson & Jimmy Ross was also a part of this team and aren’t able to attend the TOC, they too should get their Ring! TOC rings should be for Roster Players only!

Johnny Hose feels, if you can’t attend the TOC you don’t deserve or will get a Ring, but he’s allowing 2 ball players that live in North Carolina to play in the TOC with the Fan Grabbers (because they can afford to go) thus giving them Rings just for their participation… That’s BS!!
I have told A&& HOSE just that!
(SSUSA how is this so?) When did North Carolina & AZ become touching States?
Am I pissed??? YEAP….Play bye the rules, everyone else has too! No Exceptions!

KBL,

I hear you LOUD & CLEAR...lol
My point was that this is not a vacation and I'm glad that SSUSA has all the events scheduled for the teams that do take out the time to travel & play in the TOC....but that doesn't leave them off the hook for the # of teams playing in any given division...I just think it should be schedule, so that ALL or MOST of the teams that qualify for the TOC should have an opportunity to play in the TOC & because it's held in February or the off season, to me it's just a waste of time & money traveling 6000 miles (I’m in California) to play 3 teams none of which is in our division over 3 days.....just my 2 cents!

Good luck to my old 55 Fangrabber team in next month's TOC...You guys should bring home the rings, but a 3 day tourney with only 4 teams is a little over kill don't you think SSUSA?
Have fun guys & go travel safe!

I have had the same issues, what I did was, make sure before each tourney, I can get a Peticure most men won't do that, cause they think it only for women or gay guys! (watch it Fellas)!!! ...But a good foot rub does wonders for the body & mind! Make sure your nails are cut below the toe & buy your shoe size a 1/2 size bigger & wear two pair of socks when palying to help support those nails....You can also buy that nail fungus stuff in the drug store that will make your nails turn back white & strong...... Good luck I kknow its painful!

Cerce, it's really obvious to me you’re playing in the LOWER Divisions, Most Major & Major+ Senior teams, have hitters though out the line-up. Hitters with Power, Bat Control and most important patients to adjust to what you call an underhand pitch!!(I’m still laughing), when you get ur schedule out for your season this 2013 PLEASE POST it?
I’m sure a lot guys reading this thread would LOVE to face you…..Myself included, I just hope you’re all PADDED up when we do…I’m still laughing!!

Now that I think about it, he must have done this to get a raise out of us Old men…If he’s really serious, he’s not very smart and EVERYONE THAT I KNOW will go middle….
Every player on the field can talk trash EXCEPT the Pitcher… Unless he doesn’t care for his own safety…....I’m still laughing!!!

Guys are you really serious? if you are, I’ve got some beachfront property for sale in Compton, why don’t you just donate to me instead of putting this CRAP in your body…Seems like everyday someone comes out with the latest greatest pill that will make us feel 30 again….Look we all are aging, Nature will take it’s course, weather you take this CRAP or not Were all going to die! Why enhance the process bye taking this stuff, you’re only fooling yourself……But if you really thinks it works for you, then so be it..Your belief is your reality!!!! But when they find tumors, Blood clogs & other stuff clogged up in your body, don’t ask yourself, HOW DID I GET THAT! Because I think you would already have that answer!!!! The best thing for the body is WATER WATER WATER, flushing & sweating & exercise. Try it, your dick might even stay hard!
Sorry for the outburst, but I've had too many people in my life die from prolonged use of Crap like this & not knowing the long terms effect!

Discussion: Cure for AAA after 3rd HR!

The extra fielder sounds like a good Idea! BUTTTT My question would be how does this protect the pitcher? I always thought when hitting the ball up the middle, the ball will reach the pitcher before it gets to the infielders, therefore making the pitcher a defensive player as it should be…..When guys play 5 man infield, there are still holes to hit the ball though, be it up the middle or slightly to the left or right of the pitcher or opposite side of the 5th infielder……I have never notice guys going up the middle just because the HR’s are gone, if anything they cut down on their swing, as to not hit the ball out the park for a DBO.. You guys give hitters too much credit for hitting the middle, its not as easy as all make it sound, guys at the AA & AAA level on a consistence bases just don’t have good enough bat control!

I actually think the # 2 hitter belongs to your most productive GUY, be it average, power, or bat control, he should be able to do all these things very well and consistence. He should be able to hit behind the runners, hit the gaps, and Yes J-dub hit the home run…A consistence 700+ hitter at ALL TIMES…..jmo

This is very interesting, reading all the comments, we all sound like those A-Holes on Capitol Hill...lol
I think we should change all divisions to "1 Pitch" that way the games moves fast for SSUSA, the pitchers have a little advantage over the Hitters, and those that really know how to hit...Will.....IMHO

Big Mike you'll have to purchase a USSSA or ASA bat for BP, they'll take longer to break in and are really more durable then any senior bat...

Discussion: Grading the Rule Changes

I agree with the changes to the AAA hr being an out after the max has been hit...However I would also like that rule placed in the upper divisions also. Although most Major + players can hit it out at will, it makes for a more balanced game when these big guys come to the plate, all hrs have been hit and they have NO BAT CONTROL in order to get a base hit....(I know I'll always get the argument if you hit a ball 300+Ft it shouldn't be a out)IMO if you play at the major & major + level you should know how to get a base hit with bat control..PERIOD! the dead ball out speeds up the game also...I played in a tourney where the open inning was " 1 PITCH" walk, hit or out! I really liked it, the open inning when really fast!
