G-19 you keep bring cost, the cost is a small price to pay for something that we love & enjoy.....If you really enjoy doing it, does it really matter what the cost is? Golf can very expensive, but guys pay to play! Guys travel and play for a number of reasons. I for one budget myself for Softball and when you win the cost really doesn't come into play...It's only when you lose; that you might say Dam I spent a lot of money!
I'll be playing in the BASA world in 2 weeks in St.louis, their expecting 300-400 teams there! Of course, most of the teams are the younger guys, but they'll still be 20-30 senior teams involved. Great tourney!
If you get a chance to go, check it out, you might have fun! Take it from a tourney player we have creditability on this board....lol

Gary I did answer your question, read my post…..Just because someone doesn’t agree with you, you have to revert to name calling. I think the word Stupid is name calling & yes I stooped to your level and that’s what you can’t take!

You say velocity come all from your legs, I said it helps, but the real velocity comes from wrist and forearms. You disagreed and called me Stupid!! Then you expect for me to agree with you!

If you really must know THROWING HARD and Accurate IS GOD GIVEN TALENT, yes long toss and hard work will help but what does it really add 1 maybe 2 mph or an extra 10 maybe 15 feet….That’s a lot if you have never been a thrower! And even more for 50+ year old men!

You always, jump in when not asked too!! I asked Swing about SPA and you jumped in for no reason, you don’t play, so why is it any interest of yours what SPA or SSUSA call their tourneys? Worlds, Nationals who really cares, as long as we can play ball!

Your Social skills are really lacking!!! That’s why NO one on this board wants to deal with you!!

HJ, sorry for screwing up your thread.

Mr. know it all,
I said I only have a 3rd grade education…I’m trying to learn. I know you’re the one to ask about all things. I really think with all the knowledge you bring to this site, you would make a GREAT COACH…The players may kick your ass, because you’re a jerk, but good coach none the less!!!! (i.e.Bobby Valentine)

Swing, I’ll make a deal with you if we meet up in Vegas….I’ll run on you if you run on me, the one who gets thrown out has to buy the other 2 beers??? If no one gets thrown out we can have a beer anyway…I don’t think you can go from Pop to BB….lol

Hey Mr. know it all,

Did I touch a nerve???? You sound upset! I never said that legs don’t help with velocity but you call me stupid??? You’re a freaking Joke! Can you throw with good velocity? Oh don’t answer that? I forgot you don’t play! Most football games I watch, the QB’s are either throwing off balance or standing flat footed with good follow though. So I thought I’d ask the KNOW ALL MIGHTY how they get their velocity and he calls me stupid…..lol
I only have a 3rd grade education and I’m trying to learn from SSUSA’s all-time Keyboard King! But he wants to give me insults….That’s not being very nice!

Guys no matter where you stay in Vegas it's only a 20 minute drive to all the parks. I usally stay at Southpoint at the end of the strip...Shawdow Rock is the farthest park away and that only 15 miles.

Swing you telling fishing stories?...lol
96mph @ 17 sounds really impressive..because I've seem what you have now and it's more like a POP gun then the BB gun you stated...lol..What draft round did you go in?..I know back then if you threw 90 you got drafted.
Hey Mr.know it all(G19) how do quarterbacks build their arm strength?, they tend to use more of their arm and shoulders standing flat footed, but get good velocity on their throws!

Long toss is a good way for building arm strength, however if you’re wanting more velocity & distance on your throws, you will have to build not only your forearm muscles but MOST importantly your wrist muscles. The velocity comes from your wrist not your arm or your shoulders. Try snapping your wrist after each and every throw, it will feel weird at first, but very effective! Try hanging on a regular bases, this will also keep your muscles from tightening up.

Tim I here your team has been sandbagging in the Major's division and not playing in SSUSA events, so that they won't get moved up to plus...Is that the reason for all the move up questions?

Mike thank you for correction…..lol
It’s nice to know a Big guy like yourself has tough skin….Most big men are OHHHHH so sensitive!!
So Cheezhed, looks like you can’t go wrong with the small or big knob White Combat…I would recommend you get you one, nice looking, durable and has pop. The break-in period was short also, about 60swings!
Tinman, good for you, you’re the 1st person I’ve heard of with paint chipping issue on the small knob, I’ve only heard of the large knob with the issue!

Mike,
I,m not saying you’re wrong as far as the factory is concern, however if both bats are made in Canada as you say, then why is it that only the big knob version is having the paint issues? I have 3 White Centenarian 2 small knobs and of course the Big knob version has the chipping issue, others have also stated the same! It’s a very good bat much better then the last bat we last talked about! You know that Blue MM that you said was the exact same bat as the Yellow MM and we both know how that turned out! Their not even close to being the same! Ok I’m done picking on you…lol
Cheez, I found a guy that had a brand new yellow Combat and he liked the Milken over the Yellow MM so, I traded my Brand new Milken which I don’t like for his brand new in the wrapper Yellow MM, what a steal, I’m laughing all the way to the bank!!! It was a win win for both of us!

Ur Welcome Cheezhed,

Some guys really like the Blue MM! Why?
I have no idea!
I purchased 2 of them and after swinging the Yellow MM for 2 seasons, the blue MM was a step back for Combat. They since have made it better bye producing the Black & White centerian both are very durable with pop.
I have since located a brand new Yellow MM that I will get broken in and NEVER EVER USE in BP, IMO the Combat Yellow MM is bye far the BEST Senior Bat there has been if you're looking for durablity, distance and a nice feel swing!

It all depends on where you purchased your bat…I have both versions the USA version and the Canadian version, IMO the Canadian version has more pop and doesn’t have the paint chipping issues that USA version has. However the Canadian version has a smaller knob and may feel a little different to some! Both seem to be very durable. IMO this is the best Combat on the market since the Yellow & White came out a few years ago. If you’re a pretty good hitter and know how to hit, you won’t notice the 3” different in the barrel from 13 to 10.
