| May 29, 2013 1billyd | Topic: Bats Discussion: GSC Bat approved for Senior Softball Kind of strange, in spite of all the discussion about the bat being approved, the GSC website is not providing any updates other than adding a couple of videos. Seems prudent that they should be providing some up to date info. |
| March 14, 2013 1billyd | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: strange play Until the batter drops the bat, it is part of his person. Outside the line, means completly outside the line. If the bat was inside the line, I go with jackbrun. |
| March 14, 2013 1billyd | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: strange play curty, you didn't say whether the batter/runner was inside or outside the first base line. |
| March 7, 2013 1billyd | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Senior Softball Poem Thanks Glovedad, here's my contribution. The Boys of Winter I rise each dawn and slip away To the field of green where the boys of winter play We don our gear our lot is such To play this game we love so much What joy when throws go true The flight of ball against the blue By the grace of God we come another day To the field of green where the boys of winter play |
| March 7, 2013 1billyd | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: TOC Yeah, same thing happened to my team in the Spring Nationals last year, we lost. But I think this 75’s team earned a shot because they competed and won a number of games in a higher bracket. Just think there should be some consistency because I have seen where single entry teams in some tourneys have received an invite. One other point. It seems to me that SSUSA would try to legitimately qualify as many teams as possible for the TOC because not nearly enough teams attend to fill up the brackets. |
| March 4, 2013 1billyd | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: TOC Regarding TOC qualification, we have a situation stemming from the ISA Winter Nationals just completed in Auburndale this past weekend. In our 70’s AAA bracket we had a 75’s AAA team competing with us because there was no other 75’s team. These guys played awesome, they made it to the championship game and won four out of six games. Now these guys paid their money for a chance at qualifying for the TOC. However, as I understand it, they will not receive an automatic qualifier in their division like any number of teams have in the past. It seems to me that based on their level of play that they should not be penalized because another team in their age division dropped out. Am I wrong here? |

| Feb. 29, 2012 1billyd | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Veteran Core bat Like ChiPrimeMarty I made my purchase in September 2010 under the same promotion, and like Marty, Bill has responded to my emails promptly. Having paid only $99, I am a little uncomfortable complaining about not receiving a bat that obviously going be worth considerably more. To that regard I wouldn’t mind a price adjustment with consideration given for how long I have been waiting and the fact that GSC has had use of my money for a year and a half. And like pitcher55, I would like to see a list of prepaid bats or receive a confirmation email so that I could know for sure that I have not fallen through the crack. |
| Feb. 16, 2012 1billyd | Topic: Bats Discussion: New Veteran CORE thread..... Hey folks, there is a short video on gscbats.com showing the CORE. |

| Jan. 30, 2012 1billyd | Topic: Bats Discussion: New Veteran CORE thread..... First of all, thanks to garyaz for your response. Let me say, I could care less about personalities or conflicts; I am just interested in a bat. I agree that to bring a new product to market can be a difficult. I was involved with manufacturing products thousands of times more complicated than a bat, so I do understand the problems, especially for a new concept. Basically most of us guys have been pretty patient, we just would like info about how things are going. garyaz, you say that you know the CORE is worth waiting for, well how do you know? Have you swung one, have you even seen one. If you have any info, how about sharing. I too have high expectations, but I know that things don’t always work out as planed. |
| Jan. 30, 2012 1billyd | Topic: Bats Discussion: New Veteran CORE thread..... Okay, who has the money previously paid? |
| Jan. 30, 2012 1billyd | Topic: Bats Discussion: New Veteran CORE thread..... Once more we are in the dark. Is there any information at all out there on the progress of this fiasco? Does anybody that has an opportunity to test this bat have any input? |
