| April 12, 2013 tekdad | Topic: Bats Discussion: P413 revisited To Jeff , Thanks for the clarification , the bats are very live indeed . I said the same about the Double Wall in the early 90's as I walked away from competitive softball.. It is cool seeing the prideful smile on a seniors face after hitting the longest ball he has ever hit in the " Bucket List " years of his playing career.. Priceless.. Good luck this year and give the GSC bat a shot , if performance is something your not worried about then the durability itself makes this bat the best value around.. Troy E |
| April 12, 2013 tekdad | Topic: Bats Discussion: P413 revisited To JDub What does stoooopid mean ? You seem to like to chime in on various posts with cocky remarks.. I'm thinking you must be this omnipotent ( big time softball player ).. Been many years since I've heard a grown man use words like you do . Way to represent JDub ,.. Lol |
| April 11, 2013 tekdad | Topic: Bats Discussion: P413 revisited I Have swung the GSC Bat extensively and found it to be comparable if not better performing then the other senior bats I have used. Durability on the other hand is off the charts. I know that players in my area are anxiously waiting it's arrival. They are also making an ASA Bat and quite possibly a USSSA/NSA model as well. Steve, Rev and the team are really on to something special here. My humble 2 cents, Troy E |
| April 11, 2013 tekdad | Topic: Bats Discussion: what is the..... The Reebok Melee and Ultra 2 are good performers but lack seriously in durability. GSC is coming out with a bat I have personally tested and found it to be equal in performance to the above but totally in another world when it comes to durability. We hit 47/525 evil balls over 1100 swings and not a single rattle. Hands down the best all around performer I have seen. And with it's rolled end it is tamper proof. My 2 cents for what it's worth.. | March 12, 2013 tekdad | Topic: Bats Discussion: Monsta Athletics Senior Bats To SFTF, There were a few players as well as myself that took swings with the bat between games . There was a few prototype bats floating around Z3000's etc I recall and I don't remember seeing any of them being used during the games. I would think , correct me if I'm wrong that most players in a game situation would swing a bat that they are familiar with . And the fact like olie04 previously said the bat doesn't have a senior affiliation stamp might have something to do with it also . Once again , just my opinion ... Troy |
| March 11, 2013 tekdad | Topic: Bats Discussion: Monsta Athletics Senior Bats Taits , I see your from Fresno area , the past weekend tourney I previously spoke of was in Fresno . It was not very competitive . I don't think it was ssusa but some other affiliation . They allowed 2 he's per inning and singles after that . They used a ball called Spirit . A 44 core ball that didn't fly at all .. Anyway if your one of the players that had an issue with GSC , I would get in contact with them . I'm sure they will take care of you .. Troy |
| March 11, 2013 tekdad | Topic: Bats Discussion: Monsta Athletics Senior Bats To 0 Actually just took some swings with the prototype . Like I stated before , I have a a good friend who is new with the company and take his word as gold . I have had so much trouble with durability on the senior bats . In fact this past weekend my team broke 2 reeboks , a black and orange worth and an ultra 2 . This was our 2nd tourney of the year . Since I tried the GSC bat and know it's much more durable than the others , I'm sold and waiting for it to be released . It seems to be a great bat with weight options available. In case your wondering , there is no incentive for posts , just the truth to the best if my knowledge . I left a number on my previous post , so maybe give Rev a call and he can answer more of your questions . I'm a player just like you ... Troy |

| March 11, 2013 tekdad | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Bat/ball combos of yesteryear USMC, Being a former service man myself , I must warn you . Many great hitters have come out of NorCal and even though we have had our differences at times , I must say that Tim along with Rev are probably two of the best right handed hitters to come out NorCal. Tim never really had the physical gifts of others but he worked hard at the game . He defined spinning the ball , a term I hear from many even the younger generation. I bet they don't have a clue where it came from .. Lol Tim is truly a pioneer of the game up here and probably the most " technical" or fundamental hitter around ... Thanks for your device and good luck this year ... Troy |
| March 11, 2013 tekdad | Topic: Bats Discussion: Monsta Athletics Senior Bats To 0 I misread your reply . I'm reading and responding from my iPhone and the threads are not easy to read .. Sorry .. Dan Arevolos would be the person to contact (530) 304-9816 . I heard they are having some of the bats to try in Lincoln , near Sacramento at a senior tourney this weekend . Man I'm too sorry for giving you my softball bio when you didn't ask for it ... Lol . |

Lol. Please don't hate on me , I only gave my honest opinion in a bat and don't claim to be a top player .. I hope that answers your questions .. Thanks , Troy |
| March 11, 2013 tekdad | Topic: Bats Discussion: Monsta Athletics Senior Bats Respectfully , Gentlemen , concerning the GSC bat . I was only given my honest opinion . I got a chance to swing the bat and think highly of it , it hit extremely well and seems not to have durability issues like the other bats I have swung . Another issue in the game is altering , some guys even modify senior bats .. Lol . Really ? This bat has a rolled end in it thus discouraging "easy" tampering . I know someone will come up with a way to get into this bat eventually ," they always do " however , why make it easy . These are huge issues to myself and most of the players I play with . In my opinion , a bat company that will sell you a bat for $ 150-250 and offer no warranty ,, you get even 300 swings ( which is something I have never come close to getting ) and the thing breaks is robbery . Or are we just plain stupid for giving them our money for an extra 40-50' ? True I don't know what happened in the past with customer service or who was involved but I do know the prototype performed extremely good , the same bat ( which was relatively new at the time) I swung is still in action and performing great , and I can attest that some of the guys that I heard from that have used the bat are some of Norcal's finest hitters , I have great respect for a couple of the GSC team members and consider their word gold, they are GOD fearing which personally in these times means much to me and last but not least , these other companies , Miken , Reebok , Worth and Combat have been selling us bats for years , and what ? you get a few hundred swings and toss it in the garbage then order a new one ? I personally can't wait for this bat to be released , I have 6 other senior bats in my closet that are cracked or broken , myself I don't toss them so I can remember what not to do with my hard earned $$ . Do what you got to do , I'm ready for a change . Thanks for your time and good luck this year .. Troy |
| March 11, 2013 tekdad | Topic: Bats Discussion: Monsta Athletics Senior Bats Gentlemen of the softball world, My name is Troy Elliott, I play 40 and over with Extreme Performance Audio from NorCal. I just wanted to add my two cents. The GSC Senior bat is for real! I was fortunate enough to swing the prototype a few weeks ago and found the bat to be one of the best performing bats I have ever used, hands down. I was watching some of the 50+ players hitting on a baseball field and some of these guys were hitting balls close to 400' . Unbelievable !! I was handed this rolled end painted bat that was lighter then I would normally swing, and proceeded to take 12-15 cuts. I hit several line drives that easily cleared the left center field fence that I believe was about 355' away. I have been inquiring about this bat and have been told that it has over 800 swings on it . This simply amazes me being that I have been partial to the Reebok that has been the most durable although my last one only lasted about 80 or so swings. In my opinion GSC is really on to something with this bat and they have one of the top hitters in the game in Dan Arevalos working with them. We're anxiously waiting for the release of this bat out here in Modesto , Ca. I understand the bats will be on display for player testing this weekend (March 16th) in Lincoln at the NSA senior tournament.... Thanks Troy Elliott |
