Discussion: WHO ARE CURRENTLY THE MOST POWERFUL HITTERS IN SENIOR SOFTBALL

Thanks Bruce, will keep that in mind, have some back issues that may keep me out for a while, MRI today and hopefully some PT will suffice, hoping to be ready for TOC in Feb. Would really like to spend some time with Bogie to better understand his rotational hitting philosophy, he was very impressive in Vegas. Best of luck rest of the year.

Bruce, Bogie also hit one against us that had to go 400' and I saw him hit numerous others that were some of the hardest and farthest I've seen, not sure he could compete with the 50's but he certainly was impressive.
It was nice finally meeting you....how did you guys finish and do you know who won?

Why not give it a try if you are a two-piece guy, and the swing weight is similar to your gamer and you take a lot of BP. The bottom line especially for the 50's and 60's power hitter's that are break breakers, you pay retail that is $120 for two bats, they will only replace only one. Who knows it may become your gamer.

The only reason to play in the Eastern would be to compete for the Triple Crown, being seeded one or two would not apply since in most brackets there were not five teams.......staff is this a correct assumption.

Eastern does not appear to have the competition coming, see only 2 Majors and 1 Major Plus.in 60 and 65. Staff, when is the schedule coming out for the 65's and with small field will we be held for three days.....plenty of fields with only 20 teams in all brackets from 65-85.

Discussion: Pitching masks revisited

Andy, this seems to confirm my concerns for pitchers with the DBO rule, I am sure you know when you throw any pitch middle or outside its coming your way, I would never suggest anyone is trying to hit the pitcher but they are simply trying to get a hit and keep it in the park. I would like to hear your opinion on this based on your extensive experience.

I am playing in a tournament this weekend with this rule and its seems the pitcher has had much more activity than previous events with the old rules, fortunately no won hurt YET.

Hey Harry, how are things coming along with your shoulder? As to the ball I would recommend based on our last sessions of BP the 44/375 should be fine for you indoors.....LMAO. Harry the ball your looking for is the Total Control Ball 82, www.totalcontrolsports.com...708.486.5800.

Look forward to seeing you at the TOC, safe travels and Happy Holidays to you and Terri.

Congradulations to the Syracuse Merchants for winning the 60 Major, we took them to the if game but they dominated us and deserved the win, best of luck in Vegas representing the East.

Discussion: North Carolina 60 Looking For Tournament Team

Live in Ashevill, NC looking to gets some tournament reps. Would like to play Major or high level AAA in 60 age bracket, would consider 55 if someone is short. My position would be first base and outfield, run well and hit around 750 with occasional power around 15% HR's. Play FHC in 60 and 50's this year and will play in championships in December also playing in Villages October tournament.

If anyone is short or needs a fill in please contact me at 828.260.2130 or t.johnston@charter.net. Stats available and thanks in advance for any consideration.

Discussion: Miken's defective bats

I have heard all the durability issues with Miken, why is everybody putting up with this.. for an extra 10 feet!!!
I have Combat Centanarin with 700 hits and it hammers it. I will mishit mine and blow it by any infielder and hit it 330' so why put up with the durabilty issues.

Bottom line if you want to pay for the minimal extra performance....do it and stop the complanimg.

There are options but as long players don't make the Miken's and Reebock's of the world accountable for durability.. why would they
modify their action. REVENUE DRIVES DECISIONS, MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION AND THAT WILL FORCE THEM TO DO THE SAME.

Signed
Sick and Tired of the whinning.
