Many may think that they are getting a satisfacory return on their hard earned dollars/time just as your time spent on this board yields some satisfactory return to you obviously from an intrinsic perspective or you wouldn't keep coming back!

As you choose not to play so do I but I guess I choose to spend my time on other aspects of my life rather than on a recreational senior softball board filibustering for change that you and I both know will never return to its original state..... Just not going to happen.

To each his own!

In some twisted way are you not a part of the scam and a viewer of the circus? While you do not participate in the events from a money aspect you participate in time on the board to the tune of 2610 posts. Nothing is free, isn't your time of some value? So as I see it you are a participant of the circus/scam you just don't like it in its present state but you keep coming back! You are correct guys can spend however they choose....your choice is to spend it on the board! Again, nothing is free...not even your time unless you view your time as having no value.

Not so sure you overestimated your fellow middle-aged guys at all. A self proclaimed intellect you might be....a change agent you are not.

A question to ponder.....
You mentioned that you hoped to improve the game and product enough so it becomes attractive to spend that kind of money to play tournaments again. 2608 posts later....how is that working out for you?

Tom Ott is one fast individual! There is also a guy that plays for MWC out of Kansas that is no slouch when it comes to being one of those fast type guys.

As for me!

Yes, there are instances where there is a positive outcome to divorce with exceptions as you stated earlier.

Enough of me......I will let you get back in your quest to change the game of senior softball back to its original form.

As I will push on in my attempt to make sure the world doesn't decay any further than it already has :)

ok! "speaks" still without a doubt the dumbest comment I have ever read on this board! Nice of you to now include the female side of it. Without specifics of situations how do you determine to what degree it involves the character of him/her.
Not possible! By your post you are implying that if him/her get a divorce somehow that has a negative conotation on ones character. Again, without specifics....not possible!

Gary19,
The character of man is determined by the number of wives/divorces he has in most cases! Without a doubt the dumbest thing I have ever read on this board.

Gary19, Don't care who brought it up first I asked you to prove it because you made the reference. Unless I am wrong you mentioned the entire team. It may have given you a certain appearance but can't be proven with the information you were given. I would never question the moral and ethical fiber of a human being let alone an entire group based on a couple of tournaments. We will just disagree on that one.

Never said you were wrong just your approach if you want to make change. Again, you and I just disagree on how that change should take place. I also consider myself a visionary but I do realize that nothing can be as it once was....not possible.

Are there changes that need to be made...yes...the reason I do not play anymore is because of some of the silly rules. Rather than waste my time trying to change the game I will just move on and do something else. Those that want to play....go and have a great time........it just isn't for me.

You and I both know $$$ talks and that is what will ultimately change the game.

Good luck in your quest!

Gary19, Telling an entire team they have no balls thus questioning their moral an ethic fiber. I asked you to prove that the entire team had no balls.. Still waiting for the facts on that one!

You and I agree on many aspects of todays senior game but your approach to change the game as you say you want to is questionable. Very poor approach! I base that on the fact that you have 2125 posts and to my knowledge nothing has changed.

By the way nothing is free...associated costs with everything!

Gary19, you mentioned that you choose a restaurant, clothing store, hardware store, plumber and so on to only patronize those who provide what you are looking for. With such disdain for the senior game why do you keep coming to this forum? You are looking for something that isn't here.

You also mentioned that you hoped to improve the game and product enough so it becomes attractive to spend that kind of money to play tournaments again. 2082 posts later....how is that working out for you?

Other than engaging in your First Amendment right of free speech your attempts are nothing more than an excercise in futility.

Keep posting:)

Gary 19,
You are looking for an answer to your question that is subjective in nature. Some may feel good while others feel bad and some may have no feelings about it at all.
So, there is no one answer to your question.

Boston, this is not personal and hasn't taken an ugly turn at all. Gary 19 made a comment about a bunch of men not having any balls therefore questioning their moral and ethical fiber. This comment was based on winning some senior tournaments which to me is absurd!
I explained to him how I can prove that Washington is the first President based on "one person" telling me. I am simply asking him how can he prove that these men in question have no balls based on "one person" telling him.

As with my teacher I could prove the accuracy of her comment in a very simple fashion that Washington was in fact the first President Making a comment based on the accuracy of some tournament finishes that puts into question the moral and ethical fiber of a group of individuals by labeling the entire team as having no balls is absurd. Please prove to me that these men have no balls. I can prove to you that Washington was the first President based on your comment, it is impossible to prove that the members of the team have no balls based on some tournament finishes. Come on Gary you can do better than that. There could be a plethora of reasons as to why the team made the choice they did if in fact the tournament history is accurate. You made a choice to call out an entire team as having no balls and questioning their moral and ethical fiber.......something I would never do based on such little and meaningless information. Quite frankly I could dig a little deeper with your absurd comment but I will leave it alone.

It took "one person" (my teacher) to tell me that Washington was the first President. It was easily proven as fact by various methods. You took "one persons" (some unknown entity on a message board) facts and made a detemination that an entire group of men you don't even know had no balls thus questioning their manhood. Based on the facts I was easily able to obtain I can prove that Washington was the first President. Can you prove based on your facts that the entire team has no balls or their manhood was diminshed by those facts presented to you? Not possible! The Washington example was very crude. I am surprised that an individual of your professed intellectual ability would succumb to such a low level of cerebral integrity. I agree with a lot of your assessments of the senior game today but you are way off base on this one.

Discussion: Something I doubt you know about Congress.

The system has progressed to a level that makes it virtually impossible to manage effectively. This tends to create an atmosphere where you become reactive rather than proactive and that is a recipe for failure.
