Mine doesn't work...but I'm also curious why 1 and 1 with 1 to waste is not an option?

Discussion: The "ROCK SOFTBALL"

Billy Mac...hope you heal 100%! Here's my 2 cents. I almost got hit as a runner at 3rd. One of my big guys tried to sneak one between me and the 3rd baseman(Marquize don't ever do that again please!!) Not sure how I was able to get out of the way...but somehow dodged a big bullet to the head. I'm actually shocked that more guys don't get hurt. Maybe just a testament to good players! We play in the 50's and it's crazy how hard and fast those balls come off the bats. I did notice tho as an outfielder that those balls don't travel as fast when we throw them. I don't know if it's the cushy cover or what...but it was weird thinking you had a guy dead on the bag and the ball took a little extra time getting there. Anyways...my 2 cents on the balls...and I will see you guys on the fields.

Vinny...even tho Mesquite is small...you are gonna like it better there. Not sure you can drink in St George past 9:00 in the evening. Just sayin there is a extremely large church group presence there! Congrats on doing well in Vegas. Now I will add to the Vegas part. I say that going to 4 days in Vegas makes it that much more difficult for us that are still working! Only way it works ok is if we get to play night games on Thursday. Most of us come in on Thursday anyways...but early games would force us to come in on Wednesday. I can see alot of guys not being able to do that.

Discussion: Speed up rules

I agree with Bob...I'm not sure it's broke. In my opinion...most of the games are done pretty well and don't have issues with slow play or wasting time. Every team can police themselves and if you have issues with the other team...bring it up to the blue. I would be curious if anyone has stats on playing 2 innings at once. It would definitely save time...but we have all played in games when you either go cold or hot between innings. If the team you are playing gets hot and you let them do 2 innings...you can go down quickly. On the other side...you can get hot and do the same. I guess I would be curious to see how those play out.

Discussion: SCREENS IN TOURNAMENTS

This is not a good idea. I have found that in Sr softball middle has not been a big issue. Who's gonna move the screen on a throw from the outfield to the catcher? Or even a slow roller to the 3rd baseman?

with regards to homers...I have always liked the one up rule. Give the respected divisions their alloted homers, and then it goes one up after that. If you are a team that doesn't hit a bunch of homers...the other team can only hit one more than you.

It says it's just tentative...but it would be better if we have to travel to go to Papago on Friday evening instead of DW. I would think that something could be figured out. DW may work out...but it has a chance to be a disaster.

Discussion: JEALOUSY AND ENVY ONE OF MANS MANY WEAKNESSES

Well said E6...you guys have an opportunity to help bring Sr softball to the forefront based on your name. Don't let Your Ego's get in the way. Saying people are jealous and envious is a stretch. I may have a little Envy for all you guys that so happened to have the Big genes. I'm 5'8" and would have loved to have been your size...but that's the way life is. I can still play ball at this age and at a competitive level. That should be the most important part...not who can hit the farthest ball. Being able to play an athletic game at our age is actually impressive...after all we are getting Old! Anyways...bring good to the game...not more BS...there is plenty of that in the world.

Discussion: Vegas Updates. .

I'm pretty sure that no one is calling Dave or any of the staff lazy! They do a very good job of handling that many teams, players, problems, etc. Didn't just stumble on to the board, it just so happens that we came, we played, we paid, and we lost late on Saturday night. So, next day we get back on road to go home and are curious as to the teams that were still in it and how our bracket finished up. In two weeks, we will be looking at the next tourney, not what happened last one. Other associations have figured a way to do it.
