some of the players on the pace55's team purchased the original bat made in china and also ordered the new bat from bill gates.you know the rest of the story.my team is not worried about our situation.we have played against steve many times and find him to be an honorable man.the east coast rep is also a class act.these 2 men are telling us they will make good on the shady dealings of bill gates.this is good enough for me and my teammates.i realize that they dont have to make good on this legally.i also know that wouldnt be good for a new business.this hasnt been conveyed to me by them they have consistantly stood by their product.i realize they havent produced it yet but i hope when it is finished it will turnout great.there is talk on this site about politicians who continually rob us that the majority keeps voting for and keeps forgiving but an honest man who is trying to do something positive is put down.i am not saying that complaints are not valid all i am saying is what is wrong with giving the company more time to get things right.what do we have to lose they already have our money.keep hitting and stay safe

donll major plus players that dont have a major plus team in their area to play for can play for a major or aaa team in their area.i dont know if that is true in spa now because they have an impact player list.maybe it is true now in all org.you need to be a lawyer to figure out some aspects of senior softball

donll-the 2best players on a major team are probably major plus players.if my major plus team or my major team picks these 2 players up that weakens their team.they could disband.my team plays major but when we play issa we have to play major plus teams since major plus teams have an option to play major .i could ask 2 players from doc's out of ohio to play with me.i would have a better team and weaken doc's team.this starts a domino effect because more and more teams start raiding rosters thus weakening the major teams.in the east we play major and the same few teams over and over.i dont think we played one tournie where there were 5 major teams.when we had 5 teams it was major and major plus combined with no runs givenwe lost 3 finals to major plus teams.i am not complaining at all.dont care who we play.no matter how you count it there are only so many players to go around.look at the nba they let miami try to build a powerhouse now everybody is trying to do it.there becomes no balance.

thank you staff for the info.

jawood at least when you play ssusa and spa major rosters play major rosters.issa lets major plus play major if they want to.i am not sure of the major plus roster requirements.i know major teams have to be touching states.there are no runs given to the major teams.i have no problem with it but i am still curious about what a major plus roster can consist of in rb's assn.

if and when all assn.were to combine major and major plus teams it could be a problem with the non-bordering state rule .major teams might try to pickup 2 players .this might cut down the teams even further.it wouldnt hurt my team because we are all from the same city.

Discussion: New Veteran CORE thread.....

i have hit the asa version.the weather was about 68 and we were hitting 44's.the bat was hitting like the original freak.the more we broke it in the farther it went.it had a nice feel to it and you could tell it was breaking in well.our team had about 400 swings on it in one day.played with in a league the next night and someone on our team got mad and threw it down on the astroturf ,it then bounced up and hit the backstop puting a crack in it.we broke it finally at the next practice.it was a 26or 27oz.i am a hitter who is not a bat fanatic.i use combats and ultas but this bat is as good or maybe is better then the original freak first batch.when i hit it i was the third batter so it only had about 40 swings.when i hit it good it was going between 290-310.i am not a power hitter.our bighitters were smashing it but they do that with any bat.i will definetly buy the asa model.

duke watching someone play in one tourney doesnt mean anything.softball is a game of momentum.you know very well how it is to feel wronged.they should persue their problem til they get an answer.

e4/e6 this problem could have been solved by telling them why they were being moved up in the first place.ssusa is dropping the ball by the way this is playing out.its like going to the doctors office they will see you when they are ready, their time is more important then your time.

dillon it is ridiculous to think that you would come in 2nd and get moved up and 1st place doesn't and you dont get an explanation.i feel your pain.how hard is an
explanation?

ssusa you run great tournies and are a great organization.what is happening here?

foothills,if 6 players are on the roster from a moveup team the team still has to moveup.if a 55major team moves up to 60's and have 6players from the previous years roster ,they have to moveup.i am not saying that they should be moved up ,i am saying the reasons you stated are not what the rules we follow state.again this should be why is a team getting moved up after playing 1 time together and didn't win.if they played in 3 tournies and came in second 3 times then at least they would have a track record and a moveup could at least be thought of as a possiblity.foothills when you win an important tournie you get moved up that is the price you pay for winning.not sure if this was a one of those tournies but the loser got moved up.every major team i have played against knows the price you pay for winning one and what would happen if all you had to do was keep switching major plus with major players after each victory.

the tournie was a 2012 toc qualifier therefore it doesnt matter who the reds are missing.this post shouldnt be about the reds but why was fb moved up.why?why cant a ssusa official post the answer?is it a homeland security issue?we pay a registation fee so that ssusa looks out for our best interests.i am curious about fb's situation because as the saying goes "it could happen to you".what is the problem,fb doesn't even know why they are being moved up.i know curiosity killed the cat but i am still curious.

i dont care how many hrs a team hit they still lost.the issue should always be why didn't the champs move up?if there was a roster issue then they wouldn't have been playing at the major level in the first place.to solve this issue all we need is to have ssusa post the answer then we wouldn't have to guess.it looked like a great tourney with great teams.congrats to no. cal reds.we have played major plus teams in other assn. and have never been given 5 runs but when we playesd aaa teams we gave them 5 runs.keep hitting and stay safe

Discussion: Another thought on home run limits

i would like to see 3 groups recreation, under 100 miles over 100 miles.i will guess that most of the super major teams are made up of rosters with touching states players and over 100 miles players.why should we have to cater to these super teams.why should teams from a local area have to recruit from other areas to compete?not having enough players from your area is a problem but that could be solved by playing in the over 100 mile group or playing recreation.there also could be exceptions to the rules for situations where there are not enough players.if there are no miles restrictions there at least there should be state restrictions.not everyone has to be world champs or the best team but everyone should have a chance to compete.in the old days the a and b teams competed nationally and the c teams competed locally.only the a teams got rings.then teams started forming super teams thus elminating softball the way i knew it.the a bracket was ruined because all the teams lost their players to super teams .today there are more e teams than there are a&b teams.the money is being made in the d&e brackets.the upper brackets are going to be extinct soon.could this happen to senior softball?residency rules should increase the number of teams.the forming of super teams is to be the best and not to compete against the best.many more thoughts but too long already

jawood i feel your pain.my team is funded at about 60% of our expenses but we do not recruit anyone outside our city.we are very lucky to have a sponsor who encourages friendship and loyalty thus as long as we keep his family oriented ways winning is not the only issue.for years we were self sponsored and kept the same teammates.we have always tried to play the best that we can and against the best that we could.when we got to major plus we were murdered.we won 1 game this year against major plus teams.we were outclassed.i will never pick up outside our area unless i dont have enough players to field a team.i understand that some areas of the country has to recruit players in order to field a team but that is the exception and not the rule in major and major plus.i think that alot of the problems can be solved with commonsense.the players know who the best teams are and who is major and major plus but somehow we are not heard or because of pettiness will shy away from the truth.here is one fact i know :recruiting the best players from other areas to form a superteam creates less teams.thus less teams to play.because of recuiting players teams that dont recruit are at a disadvantage.

Discussion: Then There Were 14!

my team pace started out as aaa moved all the way to major plus and now are back to major.we have kept the same team basically from the start only adding players from our area.each year the teams that moved up with us picked up 4-5 new starters thus making them better.i am not complaining just stating the facts.a team from one state has a roster with players from touching states and numerous cities within that state.teams say its all about the friendship but many players have never been to each others house.it really is about winning.i believe u should be the best u can be but i dont think u should try to pick up a super team from many areas and then wonder why there are no teams to play.there is nothing wrong with being or trying to be the best.it all boils down to what you need to do to attain your goal.i for one will try to be the best i can be with my team without picking up players from other areas.i think u should only pick up players if you dont have enough players in your area. in the 70's i played at major level my goal was to play against the best which i achieved.then teams started picking up players and the a class went from many to a few just like today.the major division would have numerous teams if it was done right.in the 70's the a class was catered to everyone wanted to be a today the lower classes are catered to.i blame the major classes for this because in our need to win we have cherrypicked the best players from other teams thus we have less competative teams.remember when the teams move up with 4-5 new starters they had to get these players from someother teams thus breaking up or weakening another team.there is no reason why there isnt 2or 3playing levels 4 is too many.duke when your team won vegas the following year we moved up with you.when we played you again you had the first 5 batters(all new)hit back to back etc hrs in arow.this is what happens all the time.we weaken many teams to help a few.we need to find a better way.i will say it again recreation ,within 75 miles, over 75 miles are your 3 classes.use good balls no matter what and fight over the bat issues.peace out jr pace#11

mike as a player and coach of pace we show up and play wherever they put us and whoever they put us against.we have never played one game in ssusa and many times in rb's tournie.we have never won rb's tournie ,the best finish being second in aaa.you have beaten us 2out of the 3 times we played you over the last 4or 5 years.killing us 2 weeks ago and out homering us 5 to 1.does this make you a major plus team?we have played in rb's tournie for 8 years versus zero years with ssusa.i ask you who's ratings are right?we have no problems with our ratings because we will play anybody.your questions and concerns are very legit and i have know problem with it but every team thinks other teams are sandbagging this is not true for us.good luck this week .keep hitting and stay safe jr#11

Discussion: new rule for pitchers

i dont care what bats you use but the ball should always be good.there is validity to einstein's statements just look at the issa tournie in manasses.it was dying until they moved it to salem and used the good balls and bats.now it is the best tourney i have been to and i have been to 5 so called worlds.asa in burlington nc used a good ball with asa bats with fences at 325 and it was the most competitive tournie we played with every team having a good chance to win.the pitching screen will have too much impact on the game.it would hurt our team because it takes our pitcher's defense out of the game.i would only use the screen when the sun is in the pitchers eyes and it would be an out and if their was a batter on first a doubleplay.

Wood, sorry for the confusion. We are a major team from new york state.we don't need to be reranked because we are winning more than we lose.I was just pointing out that the problem with the weather is that we have less players to draw from even though our states population is large. As for florida and california teams that we played against ,all of them were an all-star squad from different cities and touching states.I just responded to your comment about the weather and also that the problem with touching states was basically a major plus problem.I don't disagree with anything you said. The warm weather states have more players to draw from because there are more players playing.there are more leagues and more tournies in these states. We in the north have to travel to play all out tournies, very seldom do i see a cal.or a fla.team unless it is in or near their backyard. We played in the following worlds:issa(VA),usssa(CT),lvssa, spa(GA)&asa(NC).People on this thread are complaining about losing friends because they can no longer play because of this new rule, how about the few teams that want to keep their players(local)but as a result will have a problem when moved up?We would have to get rid of our friends and add people we don't know(if we can find them) to try to compete in major plus. The major plus teams chose to pickup players from touching states and try to become a super team and now are asked to drop these players,my team on the other hand has not picked up players but are asked to drop players and then pickup players to compete. There is too much politics in senior softball,I say post the tournies and see who shows up.I am for more playing and less politics.Sorry for the rant Wood, keep hitting and stay safe.

wood every major team we have played against this year have players from more than 2 states and even canada.3 teams we played more than once had players from more than 3 states and 6-7 different cities.most teams we played never meet until the weekend.we dont recriut players outside our area because we choose friendship first.we moved up in 2006 and 4 other teams did also when we played them they had 5-6 new starters plus the regulars from the previous year.we got killed.these teams were warm weather teams and used touching state players.all legal and no problem .the problem with ny state and other northern states is because of the limited weather many people choose to do other things with their time.they only can golf, camp, boat during the same time as softball.therefore our recruitment is limited.other than sweet construction and tnt i havent played against 1 team from our touching state in over 4 yrs.excluding rochester teams.thus our pool of players to choose from are limited.thats the real issue with the weather.we play anyone and everyone but the cards will always be stacked against a local team when they have to move up.not too many teams in major are from the same city.not complaining like to play too much and like the fact when we win it is a total team effort since everyone plays.i have been to many tournies where we have been called sandbaggers etc but i stand proud of the fact they we are a true local team.
