Now is a great time to consider purchasing a new custom Llerandi glove that can be broken in by the start of the 2024 season. Go to our website Llerandigloves.com to see custom made styles and sizes.

You can email me at keithb289@msn.com or contact Lou directly. Lou's info is on the website.

Merry Christmas and be safe

Discussion: Wounded Warrior vs Sin City All Stars game last weekend

Just wanted to take a moment to thank SSUSA staff Terry, Dave, Tim and Fran for scheduling and hosting the Wounded Warriors vs Sin City All Stars game last Saturday. It was an honor and a privelege to represent and pitch for the Wounded Warriors. The Warriors were impressive in their win. Thank you Warrior coach David Van Sleet for the invite.

I'm sure there were many others, including the umpires who helped make the game a success and deserve a thank you. Thank you to the Warriors for their service, and again to SSUSA for recognizing the Wounded Warriors by hosting the game.

McDilly 42. I can help you on this one. Dave's rule of thumb is that every team should be ready to play at 8AM on Thursday. Or wait until the brackets are posted.

Good luck

Best custom glove for the price. Llerandi Japanese Kip leather is as good or better than any big name glove.

The Spinner balls are a little lighter, therefore less likely to damage your bats. The ball still carrys and performs similar to game balls.

Best ball for BP.

The biggest difference between Major Plus vs Major is defense. Major Plus players make more plays, and turn more double plays.

Diesel Dan. You don't take BP 4 times a week fielding grounders and fly balls? You need to move near me. Ha!

Discussion: Llerandigloves.com Custom Softball Gloves

Recently I sold a couple of Llerandi gloves to a customer. When they arrived he said he was disappointed on how stiff the Kip leather was. I explained to the gentleman that any GOOD quality leather glove comes stiff and takes time to work in. The stiffness and quality is what keeps the glove worthy of using it for several years.

I encourage anyone who is thinking of replacing their glove with a good quality leather that you give yourself ample time for the glove to break in. Everyone has their own method such as oil, shaving crème, the oven, the car dash in Arizona in the summer, running it over with your car, turning it inside out, or beating it with a mallet daily. Whatever your choice is, good quality leather softball or baseball gloves take time, and several hours of playing catch. I use Lexol on my gloves. There are also several videos on you tube explaining how to break in a glove.

That's why I am always telling people buy your glove now for next season and use it during BP.

Lou Llerandi will always back his product and coming from me a guy who has used a baseball or softball glove since the age of 6 years old, Llerandi gloves are an exceptional product.

Just throwing this out there if anyone is thinking of replacing their old worn out glove, and that it takes time.

Thanks
Benji

Yes we can make you a custom lefthanded 15" glove. Because it's 15" we need to charge a small fee of $30 dollars more, because factory needs to make up a new pattern.

Please call Lou at 404 401-2794 and he will walk you through the process. I already spoke to Lou. Just tell him Benji referred you.

Thanks

We have some stock gloves available to be shipped immediately. Custom gloves usually take 6-8 weeks. Now is the time to purchase a new glove for next year and start breaking it in during this year's BP sessions. You won't be disappointed with our quality. Go to our website: Llerandigloves.com

Good luck to everyone this season.
Thanks Benji

Ohioballer. If you like the Easton Empire then try the Easton Mario Foster. Same weight and feel but a better bat in my opinion. Myself and several of my teammates swing this bat.

If you would like to order one contact Mike Dill @mdill@rawlings.com

Good luck.

Discussion: National Rules Voting

SS11

You have valid points but most guys playing major plus I believe would rather find a major plus team on either side of the Mississippi River rather than play on a major team. SSUSA recognized that you should not be penalized by giving an equalizer just because you have one or two players on the opposite side of the river. The rule did not read into anything else, but just not giving an equalizer and reclassifying Open teams back to major plus.

Will it make major plus teams stronger. Probably. Major plus teams will still have to play major rules if there are no major plus teams in a tournament to play. I have not yet seen a major plus team not play because they have to play major rules. I don't think major plus teams like it, but they still play.

The bottom line is guys want to play where they want to play and with who they want to play at the major plus level. So allowing 2 more guys on the opposite side of the river makes it available to those guys who have no local major plus team to play on. No player or team should be penalized because their teammates are capable of playing major plus. The equalizer of 5 runs made no sense at the highest level. Every major plus team has the opportunity to get better.

Right now in 55's and 60's there are several very good major plus teams.

You mentioned a few good sponsors. There is one currently that is better than all of those.
Good luck this year.
