Discussion: Softball Legend Stan Harvey has passed away......

Howards Furniture #29 Stan Harvey has passed away.
Got to know Stan during Taylor Bros Home-run Derby’s. Was amazed how graceful, this giant of a man, swung the bat. It was the first time I had seen “the man” and I was in awe. His stance, his picture perfect, long extending sweeping swing, his power, they are all so memorable. Oh yes, he won that Home Run Derby. Don Ardnt was his pitcher. Now there both with the Lord and we all know what there doing up there, taking BP. Stan “the man” Harvey wasn’t only an incredible softball player, He was a damn good man.
Rip my ole friend; it was an honor to have played against you, it was a bigger honor to have known you. Hank
