Sounds like someone that was in the 'other dugout' most of the games. They obviouslly do not know Steve and Carroll very well. | April 23, 2007 lv3rd | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Steve Imlay suspension I certainly am not knowledgeable of all of the rules surrounding the 'snowbird' cards but I wonder if anyone is. However, I have known and played ball with Steve Imlay both here in Nevada as well as in Indiana for many years and if there is a more honest, curtious, and generous person playing senior softball I sure would like to meet them. The fact that Steve was honest enough to check with the people running the TOC to get permission to play, in my book, solves this issue regardless of the 'fineline' rules. This suspension is a bad rapp against someone who contributes much more than his share to senior softball. What a sham!!!! Jerry Hester Las Vegas, NV. |
| Nov. 17, 2004 lv3rd | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Winter Worlds-Doc Romero Complex The tv stations in Vegas were announcing last evening that U.S. 93/95 will be closed at the Rainbow Curve starting Friday night at 10:00 until Sunday night at approx. 10:00. This is a bummer as this closes the most direct route to Doc Romeo Park from downtown/strip/anywhere south. Best alternative I know of would be to take Rancho Street north to Cheyenne and then left (west) over 93/95 and then look to your left and you will see all the light towers. Hope this helps. |
