And I'm looking forward to finally meeting you Big Mike. So glad your health has improved steadily. I know it must have be depressing to you when you couldn't get out an enjoy the sport you have been so blessed at the level you play.
Also can't wait to get some hitting advice from you as I need about five or ten more feet on my fly balls. Talk about warning track power, that's me.
Merry Christmas Mike!

Sounds like it's really coming together to be your inaugural camp. Especially the dinner and the instructors you have been able to get commitments from. Looking forward to it.

Alan, if one attends your camp would they then be able to;(1)hit the ball as far as you do,(2)be able to hit 800+ average,(3)able to field 1000? Just wondering mind you.

I've defiantly noticed more knuckling on my line drives with the Dudley.

softballnuts, if I understand your question is can you make up bat speed by going to a heavier bat? That has not been the result in my case, as a matter of fact it has resulted in just the opposite in losing bat speed. Oh!, I think I understand your thoughts now. You're thinking the extra mass of the bat will compensate for the lower bat speed? If that's your question I really don't know. I'm sure it would make up some of the difference. Maybe some of our bat experts can answer that for us or give us an educated guess.

Are you considering making an appearance at the camp Big Mike?

I'm 67 and my bat speed with a 26oz. is about 73-74 mph. When I try a 29oz. bat it drops some 4 mph. So for me I'm still better of with the lighter bat. Don't know about a couple of years from now.

Discussion: courtesy runners

The last three or four post brings out why I stated there is no way to draft a rule to cover all game conditions, there would be just too many gray areas. Just my thoughts.

There are so many good instances when a courtesy is not only called for, but good sportsmanship to allow it by the other team you would need a congressional size bill to cover them all. I think you just have to live with it the way it is.

Both assumptions I think are correct. When hitting the ball head on it is more likely to knuckle, thus being harder to field. While striking the ball on the lower half is more inductive to back spin, thus caring further. Both are positives in my eyes. How much more spin and how much more distance is very debatable.

Would registration form happen to be available on your website?

No scientific proof, just see more knuckle balls off my bat during batting practices. Have no idea about increased spin speed though. Video would have to be one of those super slow motion cameras like they use on MLB games to capture contact moment, then don't see how to evaluate spin speed.

I have found that it being able to grip the ball for that mille second it not only gives it more spin at times, but more inclined to hitting knuckle balls.

When are you going to start taking applications for those interested in attending? Is there a form to fill out?

Altered-Illegal? Is there a deference in the eyes of the SSUSA staff? Is the penalty not the same for either?

Count me in. Sounds like at great weekend. Sure will be ready to experience some warmer weather by then. Always need hitting tips and someone to point out my bad habits. Would there be time and personal available to give one on one tips on footwork and covering say 1st. base?

Discussion: Reebok Melee's

Have heard that when Reebok chose to discontinued bat sales, it was two of their engineers that pitched their construction and new finish idea to Dudley and that is how the Lighten came about. Or similar events close to that?
