Buyer Beware: I purchased a supposedly "2nd batch" 26oz Barrage
as previously noted in this forum; and was pleased. Guess what?
It CRACKED at 121 hits along the barrel just like the originals did. I say no more; but you can guess how I feel about this 2nd batch hype at this time.

Lefty:
I have a 26oz 2nd Run Barrage I bought from Alan; and it openned-up at around 80 hits with very little noticable webbing. At about 100 hits it was as good if not better than my Melee. Would I buy another Barrage.....You bet I would!!!!

Alan:
First let me say THANK YOU for all your time on the phone discussing bats.
The Reissued Barrage you sent me is performing OUTSTANDING; at my age (66) it took close to 75 cuts and then it opened right up. It's hitting just as far as my Melee without a mark on it; and you were correct also in the fact that swinging the Barrage compared to an end-load Melee is not much of adjustment.
Again THANKS for your time............Mike

Discussion: Reebok Melee-What's The Truth?

Let me start by saying I own a Melee/End Load; and overall it's the best senior bat I have ever used; have over 500 hits on it, no breaking some spidering that's it.

Now the questions: There are all kind of stories out there about these bats concerning quality control, where made, newer manufacturing runs versus older, and the possibility that Rebook redesigning the senior Melee later this year and that Rebook just doesn't really care. Anyone know the REAL TRUTH?

Discussion: DeMarini The One

Tri18....I am sure your testing is more scientific; I have found the DeMarini Senior The One (as a two piece bat) stiffer than the one piece bats. Also a hit off the "sweet spot" is not as forgiving as the Reebok. However as mentioned above they both are very close in distance, for me. And remember the DeMarini is a 1:20 bat not a 1:21 like other senior bats.

Discussion: DeMarini The One

HJ.....I have been using the DeMarini "The One" since January and here is the straight from me....(I also use a Reebok Melee End Load) After about 50 hits off tee the end cap came off the DeMarini, I called DeMarini and they took the bat back and repaired ( at no cost to me); now for the positive side....As said above order heavier than you normally use, bat hot after about 30 hits; I am 64 yrs old hit 320'-340' with Reebok and the same with DeMarini
I disagree with Tri18; This is a very good product, well worth the sale prices you can get on it.

A133...It is solid black...NOT a senior bat, however it will carry the new usssa stamp for 2012 bats and beyond.

Discussion: reebok bat

I have been using the Reebok (yellow) Melee since December in league play twice a week; plus practice hitting off a tee (at least 300 hits total). And I can honestly say I have had NO problems with this bat at all so far. HOWEVER I also have a new Demarini The One Senior bat that the end cap came off after 5 hits. Demarini said send it to them for possible repair; if they can not repair they said I am out of luck...no warrenty...no bat! Waiting to hear from them.
