| April 24, 2013 TommyC | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Tournament Results Anybody know who one the 55 Major. When we left Crystal Pharmacy had beaten Team Edge in the winners bracket final and Atlanta Recycle was getting ready to play Columbus 55 with the winner to play Team Edge. The only problem we had was with the scheduling of game times. On Saturday we played three games back to back to back and then sat five innings before playing our fourth game. We were supposed to play another game that night, but they decided it would be to late while waiting on another game to be played and had us come back at 9:00 the next morning. |

| March 6, 2013 TommyC | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Not Pleased with Rating System Thanks for the info on 55major and 50AAA both have a 7 rating and the kind words about our team. I think we can be competitive by moving up. We would only try that if we can not find enough Major tournaments in our area to play in. Monty, hopefully SPA will come to their senses. SSUSA only shows our team and Gonzalez being bumped from the teams that played in the tournament at Dalton. Good Luck |
| March 5, 2013 TommyC | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Not Pleased with Rating System GaCMan, SPA actually bumbed up 5 of the 10 teams in 55AAA in Dalton last year 1st, 3rd, 4th(our team), 5th place finishers and your team. We were an automatic bump in SSUSA for winning the ISA in Columbus, IN and figured SPA would probably move us also. Just can't figure how the team that finished 2nd in Dalton and 2nd to us in Columbus did not get bumped and your team did. Our problem will be finding tournaments to play in. Most SPA tournaments in our are we played in last year do not offer the Major Division. Does anyone know if a 55Major team can play in 50AAA tournaments? |
| Sept. 28, 2012 TommyC | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: 40+ Bracket That is weird, if they do not play those two pool games on the 6th, all the teams would only play 2 pool games. Both J.K., Inc and Magic Unforgiven have 3 pools games scheduled which is who you are playing in your 3rd and 4th game. |
| Sept. 28, 2012 TommyC | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: "Senior Moments" Agree with Boston, used the term making fun of myself for doing something stupid and not using it as an excuse. My wife reminds me constantly that I can't use that as an excuse because I have been doing the same things for the last 35 years that she has known me. |
| Sept. 26, 2012 TommyC | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: player eligibility Say you are a 55AAA team and you qualified for the TOC in 2013. You have some players on the roster from the tournament you qualified in that cannot make the TOC. Are you allowed to make any additions to the roster? If so can you pick up a couple of players that played as 50AAA in 2012 that are now eligible to play 55AAA in 2013? |
| Sept. 18, 2012 TommyC | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: SLIDING!! Still sliding at the age of 55. I think you can hurt yourself more trying to stop and standup on a force play at second instead of sliding. Never new you could not slide into first, in my younger days whenever a throw drew the 1B of the bag I would slide to avoid the tag. Played down in Dalton last weekend and my guess would be that 10% - 15% of the players would slide. |
| July 30, 2012 TommyC | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Sad day for the Pace Electronics Family Al, sorry to here the bad news. We played against you all last year in Brook Park, Ohio and stayed at the same hotel as you guys. I was talking with one of your players (which may have been you) about your sponsor and how a great person he was. My families prayers are with the family of Mr.Kehoe. Maybe we will run into each other again somewhere down the road. |
| July 30, 2012 TommyC | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: ISA Columbus,Indiana Anyone know who were the winners of all the divisions. I know Indiana Legends/Campbell Tire won the 60AAA and Smiths Laminating won the 55AAA. In regards to the flip flop rule USSSA has been using it around 10 years or so. The flip flop rule was used in the finals of the 55AAA with Smith's up by 10 after six innings. Dayton Legends came back and scored nine runs after their leadoff made an out before making the lasttwo outs. |
