Jan. 26, 2005 william wallace | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: When all is said and done... otd i assumed even my view point as a lonely league player who wanted to play tournament ballwas asaccepted as others. i guess not. i guess the above statement "Dedicated to informing and uniting the Senior Softball Players of America and the World." is onlyfor those fewwho areallowed to play tournamentsoftball. i haveno real tournament teamto play forin myarea and ihave not beenable to get out muchbut i atleast thought i could be part ofthis forum. i guess not. please excuse me oneand all for having voiced myopinion on this matter. it seems onlythose who play tournament softball arewanted here. havefun solvingyour disputesand ishall just gotalkto myleague buddies. Jan. 26, 2005 william wallace | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: When all is said and done... einstein, i understand how you feel. fighting thiskind of stuffcan be hard. it sometimes feels like the fight is not worthit and itcan be tiring. but as myhistorical namesake once said "And dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing totrade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just onechance to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom?! the point is if we stopthe rebellionand do not let our voicesring out everywhere we go thenas prosaid Terry, Ridge and RB and the ASA and other "leaders" of Senior softball will never listen to us." thereis nothing wrong withthe boycott just don't quietfightin. Jan. 22, 2005 william wallace | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: out of area exemption rule I can assureyou two fine softballplayers I am not this mike kelly although i do admire what he tried to accomplish buthe is not me. i am amazed how someone who fights forfreedom and fairnessis alwys the onemiss understood. now asfar as stepping out frm behindmy historic name that too shall cometo pass wheni believve thee thyme is correct. i amjust a lowly little senior league player fromva who at one thyme in the yer of ourlord 2004 considered playing sume tourney ball at the aa level. nothing more nothing less. but since i am namedbill Wallace blank i thought i would jut tak the name William as mylogin name. i am not 7 feet tall.and i donot kils men by the hundreds, and i cannot consume the rules with fireballs from my eyes and boltsof lightning from his arse. but i am William Wallace, and what ithought i saw was a whole army of myfellow softball countrymen here in defiance of tyranny. i assumed you came here fight as free men against thesethoughtless rules. but instead yousay i use"all the same rhetoric with a different typing style" i am sorry if thisrhetoric does not please but in my long lifei have learned that it takes thesame old rhetoric said overandover to get thepoint across and the point issimple therules are not fair. Jan. 22, 2005 william wallace | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: out of area exemption rule aye, but since we areon this earthfor a short time shouldn't we alsobe involved in associations that showthe samelove? i amnot saying everyonewill cheat but itis obvious that players likethis walkguy have noplace to play and nolove is being showed. i would assume theonly thing he andotherlike himcan do is whati suggested. remember buffalo it is exactly the ability to compromise that makes a man noble. sounds like tome the players involved here are willing tobe nobleand compromise but onthe other hand others are not. it reminds me of Longshankswho spoke of peace and compromise whenI was a boy. And many Scottish nobles, who would not be slaves, were lured by him under a flag of truce to a barn where he had them hanged. I was very young, but I remember Longshank's notion of peace and compromise. today no one shallbe hanged but compromiseseems to be onesidedhere and as you say"We're not on this earth for that long." for one to haveto endure this. Jan. 19, 2005 william wallace | Topic: Bats Discussion: Ultra II Beyond 2005 mr pro while this is just a rumor i have no doubt that if the three kings thought it is what the players did not want thenthey would doit. if it were mei would assumethis willsoon bea reality. 2005 u2 legal 2006 asa batstandards and crappysoftballs. yougot to loveit when theplayers aregiven what they want. Jan. 19, 2005 william wallace | Topic: Bats Discussion: Ultra II Beyond 2005 my fellow warriorpoets I applaud your desire toexpress you opinion on this thread but please takeinto consideration what happen when the exempt player protest came about. The three kings voted tonot allow anyexempt players which was the exact opposite of what was asked. it would then seemto me that they may allso do the samehere and gototallywith the asa batstandard. i forone donot know if i could bearit if we have to endure another wellthought out decision bythe threekings. Jan. 18, 2005 william wallace | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: out of area exemption rule "In the year of our Lord 1314, patriots of Scotland, starving and outnumbered, charged the fields at Bannockburn. They fought like warrior poets. They fought like Scotsmen. And won their freedom." tobad this act of freeedom willnot be happenagain. the kingsof this land havewon and willonceagain hold down the majorplus players. it looks to me as ifthis is the death blow to the majorplus division. whilei for onewill still fight for the freedom of the majorplus division i donot see it as a finalresolve. to the warrrior poets who fought so hard i salute you. to those who makerules to satisfy their fellow kingsand teams i haveno fellingwhatsoever for you. Jan. 17, 2005 william wallace | Topic: Associations Discussion: Exemptions: Give me a call I will answer any questions I can 1-203-596-29Thanks Dan Mike I am willing to pay up to 4 miken bats , new in the wrapper with warranty with a value of well over $1,000.00 for proof that you sent to any one of the Thermco guys out of Ct. any altered bats at all. I do know they had the worlds hottest freak in 2 worlds that we played them and i suspect it was a decaled ultra, we also suspect that they had altered synergy plus bats and pst bats in another. I dont plan to go public with this info , i only plan to show the sponsors of that team what there players did this past year in the hopes that they would then do some in house cleaning so that we can get a fair game out of them this coming year. kinda rough to travel 3000 miles and take 2nd place and feel that they used altered bats to beat you. I will keep you out of this and only the sponsor would need to see the eveidence that only you can supply me with. i will make that sponsor understand that he is not to tell the player or players where he got the info, just that he got it and believes it. This is a huge personal issue with me and i have no problem with you at all. Grown men make there own decisisions right or wrong and these guys should have used the bats in bp and home run contest but not in actual world competition. Please advise as to if you are able to help me out on this. Thanks Mike Kelly Iheard this wasbrought up at the summit so here is what came down. William |
