Jackson...
Sorry for you not pleasing everyone, 100% of the time... but welcome
to the selfish and grumpy part of our sport. I know that things have been
tough with the economy and all, but would love to tell your "un-happy e-mailer"
how hard you work to prepare THOUSANDS of shots after spending from Dawn to
Dusk at ALL of the parks, just in case someone might purchase a picture.
This person probably would have spent a whole $5 bucks with you anyway.
I'm going to order $10 worth to make up for your loss,
Then, I'm going to have a glass of Whine !
See you in Phoenix my friend.
Johnny.

Rightrj1,
Thank you for standing up for my thoughts. We all were wondering why WE were
selected to have to play there? And, I agree that the upper divisions should
NEVER play on fields that have potential to injure innocent people driving their
cars on North 5th Street because they can hit a ball 400 feet. Most lower division players cannot do that. I am very good friends with both Dave and Fran, and if he says he had no other option, I beleive him. I feel so adament about this park, that I would rather not play in the tournament if selected to go back. I will have my attorney draw up an "OUT" clause when entering the next Vegas Tournament.
Congrats to all the teams that played, especially Conn. Sports and MTC. And,
them pesky dudes from Nighthawks (The Don).
Great seeing and meeting you guys.
And, special thanks to my squad... you guys did good !

Jack,
Great shots. I am amazed that you seem to be there for all the special moments.
Although not the best outcome for a slide at third, the shot(s) you took when we
played (K C Barons vs Fan Grabbers) where their player seperated his shoulder was
something else. We all felt terrible for their guy and wish him a speedy recovery. Again, great job and will send you an order.
Thanks, Johnny.

Discussion: Why do you bother to post pool play games / tournament brackets if you are not going to update

Hey Zac7, lighten up.
If you knew Dave Dowell like the rest of us, you would know that he
has plenty of things to do along with a gravely ill family member.
But I guess your a new guy and meant no harm, right?
Thanks for understanding.

Dave Dowell and Family,
In hearing the news, I wish to offer our thoughts and prayers through your tough times, from all of your friends on the Fan Grabber team. You and Fran both need
to wind down a little, be there for each other and your family... forget about
SSUSA for while. I'm sure Terry and the crew can cover.

Discussion: THE NEED FOR SEVEN INNINGS

Dennis,
I would think that anyone that plays ball in a town that is named after him, could get Sacramento to listen.
I too, would love to see seven innings in the brackets for SSUSA.
Maybe do away with (9) run innings (in Maj Plus) and that "Stuipid" three game quarantee, where you can play an absolutely meaningless game.
I also think that they shorten the games played per day, to make sure all the teams get to Sunday, thus keeping the hotels happy.
But, then again, this is just my opinion.
Congrats to you and GSF with your accomplishments in Dalton.
Johnny.

Discussion: Our FRIEND...Action Jack needsw YOU

First off, JACK had nothing to do with this post, he has too much class.
When I started in senior ball years ago, I brought a new bunch of guys to
the scene. Jack took our team picture... great memories. He has been there
ever since. With the economy as it is, I know money is tight, but if we don't
buy a few pictures now and again, he won't be there. I asked him how RENO was
for him and he said he might be able to get a breakfast at Denny's. Coaches,
please get with your guys and see what you can do. You players out there,
especially those of you that have been kicking butt on the my team lately,
get a picture of it. We don't want to lose an ICON like Jack.
I know you will feel good about it.
Thanks.

Discussion: TEAM Classiications

Jaywood and Andy,
Thanks for your responses. I know Dave's just waiting til he cools down
before responding. With all the stuff he has on his plate, he would be
the likely candidate should they do any updating.
I've had a few coaches call me and we all agree it's at least 30%.
We'll see, huh. Or, we won't.
Regards.
Johnny.

Staff... is there a reason why you have teams listed on your current ratings list, that are not
current and/or no longer in existance? For example, I have two teams on your 50's list that are
not in existance... Powerline/ Miken and Fan Grabber 50's. Maybe I'm a little neurotic but, wouldn't
you guys want your information on your website to be as precise as possible? I am sure there are no
hidden reasons or intentional misrepresentation here, but I look to your site often and would like
to know a more realistic view of my competitors.
Maybe you could have a list of teams that are currently registered for 2012, you think?
I'm sure George has some spare time on his hands, give him the project.
Thanks, in advance.
John.

Dave... did anyone thank you for getting the results for Mesquite on the MONDAY that followed the tournament ? Didn't think so, but I will. Had a
great time and good seeing you there.
Do you have any of the field assignments for Vegas yet? Trying to coordinate the hotel situation and it would be helpful.

Discussion: Moving on up

I am delighted that you all have brought this to light. As the
coach of the Fan Grabber team, I have issues with the whole
process in which teams are rated... and always have. Maybe if my team was based in Sacramento, I would be left alone or at least a chance to build some sort of history. The teams we lost to, werevery good teams. Just as powerful as us in the HR department. With cold weather, hard balls, Mikens and fields with the wind blowing dead out every game, what do think we're going to do ? I witnessed our umpire giving OUR HR totals to an official after each game. My roster consists of TWO M Plus players, both playing in the 60 M Plus division. The rest are a bunch of great 56 year old MAJOR players. Again, it is not my intention to question the decision to move us up,but the fairness in it's process. The bottom line is we were the SECOND best team that played in that tournament.
My congratulations to the BEST team, the N/Cal Reds.
As for the forfiet, it was a team decision. Looking back, I
would do it again. But then again, I think too much about the health of my players. We had two or three muscle injuries and a 9PM game in a 40 degree, windy Las Vegas night, would have
given us no chance to play all those games on Sunday.
Thanks for your thoughts, and wish all of you health and happiness in your 2012 softball year.
