Joe,
Thanks for being there. You're a true class act and a team player. It's always better winning, but like you say, love of the game. Great squad with you, Mike, Cruz, Rock and the rest.
Had fun & wished I'd been at the Commedy Club with you guys... heard it was something.

Ray,
Spoke with you briefly during a game with your buddies from the Mavs. Sure hate to see you go. Either you or someone from your team wanted contact info on one of my players who used to play for you guys... if so, you can answer here or I can get you my E Mail address. Let me know. And, senior softball will be missing a true class act, when you leave.

KBL,
The best location for a good lunch at a sports bar with 100 HD TV's just happens to be right down the street from Papago Park. DUKE's Sports Bar. Great food... lots of salads, burgers and specials. Great prices. Al, the owner is our age and loves Senior Softball. Located on the S/E corner of Miller and McDowell Roads.

Lecak,
You're right, we at Fan Grabbers don't play alot of out of state. We don't have the big bucks like alot of other squads. Planned for Mesquite & Vegas only. Let you guys win your share that way. Good luck to all.

Discussion: New Rule Changes

Don,
Thanks for your thoughts. They are right on. As managers, our responsibilities are representative of our players and our sponsors not to mention all the crap in between. We typically do not wish to move backwards and constatly try to improve. With that said, we sell our club and our players a package that significantly applies to how we play the game. I've crossed paths with you and your club, I know and respect the quality ball you play. Individuals and/or players hardly ever understand what it takes to field that team. Simply protecting that quality is a full time job! Any changes and especially ones that effect the type of team you have spent years in organizing, can be devistating. That's what SSUSA has not taken into consideration when they force these changes.
Sorry to ramble.
Seriously, Johnny Hose.

Discussion: New Rule Changes

Dear SSUSA Staff...
As a Manager of a 50 Major squad, I think it would be nice of you guys to ask us (Team Representatives) of our opinions, prior to your desired rule changes. If you want us to participate in your tournaments and pay the ever-increasing entry fees, wouldn't you want to gear your association to our wishs? Your "Up th Middle" rule only applies to a pitcher in a wheel chair that CAN"T move out of the lane and now with HR's as outs after fulfilling the quotta, oh boy! This is going to change those elivated swings into line drive missles, some of which are going to end up in the middle. Was this your intent? Or, maybe it's the price of balls and the retrieval that's got you upset. Your missing the point. Most of us played ball when it was a game, not a business. Only my opinion, though.
