Gary, if you get a chance to meet Eintsein you will understand. He is a great guy with a wonderful attitude on life and fun to be around. But he has a killer dog. Watch out.

Thanks for the help. I have not made it there yet. Still getting settled. I am in Seattle with the Ca. team next week and then St. George in Oct. When do the leagues end for the year? I will be looking the league up so I can make some contacts for possible traveling team next year.

Congrats to Tharaldson from the Animals also.
You guys are a class act. Great games with you.
Kids is a great group also. Had a lot of good times at this tourney. Very good bracket.
But that Bam Bam guy. Darn guy never made an out against us. I will hate him next time.
Just kidding!

No,
no HRís at all.
If you were on a team that gets forced to play Major and Major + with singles hitters you would not want them either. HRís are bad. They should be outs.

Really just kidding but I personally love the 3 - 5 and then 1 up. Gives us a chance.

I just love the oppertunity to pick MK apart.
"Watching the other team as they seem to enjoy the fact that he got called out????"
That must have been us, the only way we have of staying with you in a game.

"Just seems crazy to me but maybe it is just me."
Yep, just you.

"Home runs to singles at all levels and if your too good , move up to the next level."
And if you are not an HR team you get to move up anyway. Then find out that D and singles are not a good enough game.
BTW,
KillABrew is:
LJ = Senior22, Animals 55
Just disagreeing wid chu!

Dale, I wish we could use you but we are a 55 team. If you do make it to Phoenix look us up. Animals (Ca) 55 Major, we have a member that is planning a move to Nashville area and looking for Senior softball there.

Discussion: Info on a team

Damn, I was reading this and other posts and realize just how stupid my team is. We qualify in
June with a roster of 16 and make no changes to it all year and then go to the World. How the heck can we compete with these %$#@&*% teams. We better get a lot more imaginative.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Discussion: Early Composite bats

Need some help. What was the first composite bat made. What were some other early models. I know of Mizuno World Win MS100 around 1994 Graphite/Kevlar.
Was told of a Louisville Ptpscm30m Matrix (tournament players series) carbon composite
Don't know that bat or year.

Dbax, please forgive mad dog, for he forgot where he buried his bone. I am sure he meant no harm. Just not very good with English.
Plus evidently his team did not score much.

Robo2, the ratings is the single biggest problem in softball. All ages. If it could ever be done fairly then that would be great. But it will not. When the team I am on is bracketed to play major + we are very happy with the 5 run rule

"but we never would have expected run limits as a contrived way to keep the game close."
Gary, we did not expect it either. But after the years of playing as you did against the big teams I for one am glad that someone instituted this rule. In some cases it is 7 runs per inning with a catch up rule. But still limits. It has been that way since I came into Seniors. Like all other rules we just play by them. But I do like this one.

Gary, I do not know where the rule came from or why it was started. But the teams (like mine) that are not offensive powerhouses sure like the rule. That is the only way we can compete with the paid for teams.
