Discussion: Player released and playing on another team in same age group

TX

You are correct in your understanding with the one exception.

One Worlds in Las Vegas are over, all team rosters are reset. A player that has been released and added to a team in the same age bracket. If he is released again before Worlds he cant be added to another roster until basically October 15.

I believe there is an exception. If the second team that adds a player folds, then the player
who was added to the second team can then get added to a new team.

Hope this helps.

Discussion: Reno Tournament

Good Afternoon

I am looking for two players to fill out our roster for the Reno Tournament May 27-29. I am looking for
a middle infielder and an outfielder.

We are a 55AAA team, and based on roster size, we can actually take 55AAA players that are on a different team that is
not attending the tournament.

So if you are on a 50AAA team, but old enough to play 55AAA, on a 55AAA team, or a 60AAA/M team and want to play
in the Reno Tournament but your team is not going, please email me at hc50ssoftball@gmail.com

Thank you for your time.

It is my understanding of the SSUSA Rules, that if you take a runner, you can not run for someone else in the same inning.

Discussion: Balls for Rock N Reno

As long as its not the limited flight yellow pillow we had to use in St George at Little Field or Little Valley.. it should not be too bad..

Complaint about the ball.. $6.67 per ball vs $5.00 per ball for extras..

Just busting your chops Dave...

Enjoy Reno.

Mikelmart

The current state guidelines allow tournaments.. BUT no team can play more than one game per day.

So we could run SSUSA tournaments in California as long as it is run like March Madness..

Leagues are open because it is one game per team per day.

Thank you for the well wishes in Reno.

Dave and Odie

I hope this is a good indication that Hemet will happen.. I was listening to the Los Angeles Angels broadcast on the radio last night, and they announced that they will go to full capacity on June 17.

So, it looks like California will be open.

Have a good week.

Dave Dowell - eternal optimist.

The article I saw just a few minutes ago states that they are HOPEFUL the state will open by June 15.

Makes for a very short escape window.

Could be worse,55 AAA could have gotten Shadow Rock.

I'm just glad we get to play, because who knows if it will ever happen in California. Right now, we can have "tournaments" in California so long as not team plays more than one game per day.

Thank goodness for neighboring states and SSUSA staff finding places we can play

@Tim - great words.

Discussion: Facial Injuries

Corn

I wish you the best. I had the same injury 20 years ago. I spent the night in the hospital, and worked with an Ophthalmologist for a year. Here is what the final was:

1. Doc watched for detached retina or damage to cornea, and I was lucky that that did not happen.
2. My pupil is frozen open, and to date, I still get the same answer that there is nothing they can do to fix that. What that means is that I am way more sensitive to light, so anytime I am outside, I am wearing sunglasses. My vision is still 20/20, but the injured eye is a little foggy.. but I can still play the outfield.
3. Because of an eye injury, we are more susceptible to cataracts and possibly glaucoma. So I get eye exams every year.

Please share if you learn something different from your Eye Doc. While its a fun conversation starter of "why do you have two different color eyes?" I would love to fix it.

Best of luck

Bill
