Discussion: 70' bases?

Our experience at the Huntsman World Senior Games is that 70 ft bases seem to be fine for 50+ & 55+. They begin to alter the game dramatically as you go up in ages. In the 65+ & 70+ guys are consistantly being thrown out at first from the outfield. In '05 we will be using 65 foot bases, as is NSA, see pages 59-63 in their rulebook. Oh, we did remove some bats other than the Ultra II last year.
