| Sept. 16, 2005 umby44 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: 0K HOW ABOUT FREAK PLUS umby44... hope this helps. I have both , the plus and the Freak. Both weigh 28oz. To me some of the differences are: 1. The plus feels heavier through the swing. [ they do weigh the same] 2. The plus sounds ''flatter'' , or perhaps ''duller'' on contact. Kind of like the old Worth 3DX of 2001. 3. I prefer a blanced bat more so than an end loaded, the plus is slightly end loaded and if I can maintain the same bat speed at point of contact I believe I should have a bit more bat speed after contact and possibly get more distance with the Plus. That has not happened yet. at this time I have had the plus for a month and am getting the feel of a endloaded bat once again. I see no noticable difference in the two at the moment. The plus I have now was a warranty replacment bat . I ask for a 27oz , the bat I received read 27oz , but when I weighed it it came in at 28. Miken told me that was within an accepted tolerance level. Guess I should have asked for a 26. Good luck with yours. |

| July 18, 2005 umby44 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: SPA Results BruceinGa Yup Mike wears those fancy blue striped boombahs all right. I know that he got a 15 inch Rawlings glove from Einstein off of my team. Heard Vinci also makes a good glove. Tell you what, he is all around the best Pitcher/Hitter in Senior Softball period. IMO Have a great year. Mike Kelly Kelly's Sports 50+ |
