Discussion: Have read different rules for the pitchers would like for ssusa to explain all new rules.

Seriously ? ? ?

Why even bother having a Pitcher if all you Girls wanna do is Bitch about Pitchers Tossing Cookies!? Forget the Goalie Equipment, and signing a Waiver - just use a Friggen Tee ! ! !

Some Rules are Rules, some are Guidelines. In the end the Batter always has (and wants) the Advantage! Umpires & TD's are starting to be a bit more Lenient, Understanding the Inherent Dangers of being a Sitting Duck ! ! !

Shut-up & Pitch is being less Tolerated. You Shut-up & Pitch is becoming more of a Common Empathy with all these Stoopid Bats ! ! !

Peace-out,

Travel Discounts - Air Fare, Auto Rentals, and Hotels.

AAA is $55 annually, compared to $16 annually for AARP.

Near as I can tell, AAA & AARP are fairly equal. However, I have Auto Insurance which covers Auto Problems (i.e., Battery, Gas, Towing, Rental, etc.), so I'm not aware of any additional benefits to justify paying the EXTRA $39 for AAA! Input anyone?

I typically use KAYAK as my main Search Engine for Travel, but I haven't used the Bidding Process such as Priceline. This sounds like the logical choice, as I too believe in the, "all they can say is NO" philosophy! I belong to Chase, so I guess I'll need to check into the Chase AARP as well ! ! !

Thank you all,

Additional Clarification: Here is the link to the SSUSA "Modification in Bat Standard." SSUSA BPF was increased to 1.21, but I believe Senior Bats still use the 1.20 Stamp . . .

Clarification/Correction: ASA uses the BBS Standard (98 MPH), which does meet the 1.20 BPF standard (100 MPH) used by the USSSA, NSA, ISF and other associations, including SSUSA . . .

Sounds like a FUN Weekend, and Weather was Great. Congratulations to Team 1 on your TOC Championship* ! ! !

Dave, I believe Team 1 is going to try their best to get to Vegas? Could you please Schedule Team 1 v- AZ Elite for Game 2 of our Bracket Games? Alan Tanner and I played together a few years back, and its a Friendly Challenge. I want to ensure that we at least Play one Game against each other. Thank you in advance, and I look forward to seeing/playing many Good Teams in Las Vegas . . .

Yah, but it's also a Watered Down Version because it's Non-USSSA Pitching ! ! !

[b]Seriously, No Juke, Jive, Shuck, Windmill, Behind the Back, Between the Legs, Hide-n-Seek, Peak-a-boo, No Look, Stop Drop and Roll Pitching ? ! ? ! WTF ? ? ?

Discussion: Player Ratings

WOW, I just wish we had the Population to support a Senior League for 50's! Most Senior Leagues here in the Phoenix Metro area are in "Retirement Communities."

As for Tournament Ball, our Team has a Good Core of past Tournament Players. We have No Negative Ego's, and we All Enjoy our Time Playing Softball together . . .

We have Played, Beat, and Lost to Major & Major+ Teams without Whining! We have done very well in our short time together as a Major Team, yet have not Won a "Major" Senior World in any Sanction. SSUSA Bumped us to Major+ which we Look Forward to Playing, and again . . . without Whining ! ! !

Bottom Line as I stated above, "we all Enjoy our Time Playing Softball together." We are not even close to being a Dynasty Team, nor do we want or need to be Broken-up . . .

Discussion: Sponsors Question (Poll)

There are and have been many Great Sponsors supporting the Game of Slow-Pitch Softball! I've been lucky enough to (let's just say) basically leave my wallet home on weekends.

I've been offered envelopes to play at the "B" thru Major Levels, and I live in Arizona. Tournament Schedules would have been 75% east of the Mississippi, with 12+ weekends of Thursday Travels and Monday's to Recuperate! I simply could not afford to take that much time away from Family & Work to Play! It was much easier managing a West Coast Schedule with only a few East Coast Tournaments.

I could have easily Jumped Ship for so-called Better Offers ($$$), but I always chose Loyalty over Greed. Thanks so much to all of my Sponsors, Past & Present ! ! !

Discussion: Reclassifying Teams

Tim's Presentation always seems to Draw Negative Reviews, but I do agree with a couple of his view points on this topic. Arizona Elite hasn't Won a WMC either, however, I also understand that the SSUSA needs to make difficult decisions regarding Fair Play for the Good & Best Interest of the Program ! ! !

Arizona Elite Embraces this New Challenge, as many of our Team Members have Played at the Highest Levels in our past. If we or any other Team can't cut the Mustard, there is an Appeal Process in place. However, for Pete's Sake, give it your Best Effort ! ! !

Congratulations to Teams that were Bumped and Best Wishes to All Teams in the 2013 Season ! ! !

Stoney,

I've played several 40's World Championships in Phoenix with a few local AZ Teams; Team Agave, RMS, and Rimmer Skillets.
The Rimmer Team is the Team that always sets up Camp featuring BBQ, Boone's Farm & Beer, and Satellite TV (LOL) ! ! !

I played my first 2 Seasons in 50's with FanGrabbers (2010 & 2011), and joined Arizona Elite in 2012 . . .

Stick,

We are so Thankful for such a Great Turnout. AZ, CA, CO, KS, OH, and TX were all Represented Well. There were a lot of really Good Games, and on paper it looks like a much better turnout than the TOC is going to have ! ! !

I'm sure we've all had way too many Woulda/Coulda/Shoulda Experiences that we'd simply like to Forget - I know I've had my share. Arizona Elite looks forward to playing OKI again as well. We pretty much Play Far West & Southwest since there are so many Quality Teams & Tournaments out here. Winter is just about over for us, and I'm sure we're all looking forward to Spring Training. That's another venue that attracts so many to Play out here in Phoenix as well. Good Luck to all in 2013 ! ! !
