I was just wondering if ssusa are still using the 44/375 softballs for the 2014 season?

Discussion: HR for AA

I have seen many discussion about the HR rules and Game Winning HR rule.
My question which if I read it correctly is that beginning the 2011/2012
changes to HRs and additional HRs have been applied to all age groups
and divisions except the AA. So they are still at the one HR and additional
HRs are out since they don't have the "1-Up-Progressive Rule".

So a higher ranking team playing down to the AA division would be also
under this one HR ....rest are outs and no 1-Up rule

Am I correct about this?

Thanks

Well at least the staff took the time to answer Ho question. I was just wondering if they had any comment to the original thread question?

I just was wondering why in today's internet world and online web pages
why we can't seem to get the Tournament directors and this site to be able
to post the results from all the tournaments played. I know ...I know
I am asking too much even though we are all paying good money to enter
these tournaments, I just thought it would be a kind gesture of those receiving these fees to give a little back.

#6 First of all congrats on your team success. Now IMHO if I even slightly felt that my team could compete in the AAA division ....then it is a simple decision.
Stronger competition always makes you a better team.

Either way .....you and your team enjoy your season.

Many good points have been brought up. I personally have always felt we have too many special rules ...(ie home run rules)
We all have been playing this "kids" game for more years than we may want to admit to, yet the power to be think they know what is BEST for us. We are the ones who hands out the dollars and suffer the pains of playing. For the life of me how can you honestly believe allowing such an idiotic rule as one home run and the rest are outs as ANYTHING to do the true game of softball/baseball. Please keep the rules that make this game what it truly is ....a game which we (senior players) has cherished for so many years. Don't force rules which takes away from the enjoyment of the game and maybe you will see why we still love this game.

After looking at the tournament schedule posted on this website, it seems that during the month of July tournaments are hard to come by. I was wondering what other tournaments are available during this month for a team from the midwest.

Thanks

Nancy - Yea it was a little unusual to see someone have their rating changed just before a major tourney like what happen in Dalton 50AA. Not only did they win the tourney but they scored at will and only one game were they really tested. With that said, I must admit I enjoy playing against them for they were a great bunch of good guys but IMHO I believe they could have competed with the AAA's.

Rabbit - It was a honor to put a face on your name. You are what senior ball should be all about. The competition is great but the friendship that one can make should always be the reason we still play this "kids" game.
Once again thank you for managing our all-star team.

Ken from Maryland's Roman 50AA team - Just wanted to thank you for your conversation on positive thinking. You and your team were one class act. Our team enjoyed the competition and hope to run into you guys again. Good luck with your hips.

Discussion: Champaign

Finally I made it back from Champaign and just starting to nurse the aches and pains from the privilege of playing another Senior Softball tournament. First of all I have to thank the MAN above to at least allows us sunny Sunday and the opportunity to finish the Tourney. Secondly to be able to run into all the great players again for another great tourney ...well no words can describe the feelings. Each year brings me the chance to rekindle old acquaintances and still marvel at
their playing abilities. The competition among us may be heated at times but when the dust settles all that left is the camaraderie and friendships that last from year to year. I want to thank all for letting me share in that. My hats off to all the teams that competed for another great competitive tourney and for the all the long lasting memories.

P.S. One more thing ....what a great surprise to run into the ever laughing lady from Indy. Nancy ...Thanks for help making my day. Also for those making the journey to the Oshkosh tourney, travel safe and lets have a good time.
