| July 4, 2008 Gelpas | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: team ratings I have read many posts and threads concerning rating of teams. I wish I could say that there is a fair way to rate teams but I am afraid it will always be based on some organization trying to have the final say. I just know I have play teams rated Major - AAA - and - AA and the differences sometimes really boils down to who has that one good inning whether it is offense or defense. Granted I am sure there are dominate teams in each division and on the other hand there are teams struggling to compete in their division. With that all said I personally rather play hard fought games against teams who over the years I have came to know and respect irregardless of their rating. Just my thoughts Gelpas |

The more the merrier and at end of the year I will toast all the teams I will have the pleasures to play against this and every year to come. Count your blessings that we can still play this game for many don't have that chance. Ohh by the way you are all invited to come to God's country in Oshkosh,WI to play in the Badgerland Classic Qualifier Aug. 15 - Aug. 17, 2008. Hope to have see ya there. | May 2, 2005 Gelpas | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Indy Tournament Just a few comments: First of all What the heck gives with the $2.00 per day admission? Heck what is going to come next ? ....Parking FEES? I could add few other complaints but what I really wanted to say is thanks ....I had a great time. I had the opportunity to meet and watch some damn good ball players and bask in the warmth of the sunny Indy weather (ok one of two ain't bad). Seriously though, thanks for letting me share in this kid's game we call softball. Hope to run into you all in some other tourny. Gelpas Geezer's |
