March 30, 2023 donniebaseball | Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: want to play las vegas You were supposed to play with the Alaska 65 AAA team in St. George until it got rained out. I am taking over the team for a while as our manager has some scheduling conflicts going on. We could use another player for Vegas as we currently only have 11 players who can make it there. Please contact me at 907-230-6698 if you are interested. We appreciate the consideration. Donnie Brooks |
Dec. 22, 2021 donniebaseball | Topic: Teams looking for players Discussion: northwest 65 aaa team looking for players Myself and another Alaskan played last season with the Bulldogs out of Oregon at the 65 Major level. This team has disbanded and we have not found a place to play as of yet. We would like to talk to you about the possibility of joining your group. I currently play and manage the Tri State Kings 60+ major team and we play in several TOC tournaments so we would be available to join the Yeahoos at those tournaments. Please contact me if you have any interest. It can be hard to find teams to play on being from Alaska but I guarantee that we can play the game. Donnie - 907-230-6698 |
Jan. 19, 2021 donniebaseball | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Borrowing players? Thanks Dave. I probably missed it but I saw the rule was enacted in May of 2020. Does it carry over this 2021 season? |
Jan. 19, 2021 donniebaseball | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Borrowing players? I thought that last year because of COVID-19, SSUSA implemented a rule that a team could pick up to 2 players for a tournament if their team was not playing in the tournament and that the players were not forced to use their transfer exemption. Am I just having a wishful idea or did this exist and if so, is the rule still in place for this season. I have a team that would like to play in the March tournament in Mesquite but can only get 10 of my players to go and would feel better having a couple more players in an early in the season tournament. Any help would be appreciated. |

April 12, 2018 donniebaseball | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: New Senior Tournament in Alaska We have come to find out that it takes a lot of preparation to start a new tournament - especially one in ALASKA. We have 7 teams signed up for this inaugural tournament and would love to have more join us. As of today, we have three 50AAA teams, three 55AAA teams and one 60AAA team. We have changed our status from a qualifier to a RECREATIONAL Tournament as we have a lot more interest right now from individuals than from teams. So, if any individual player would like to join us, and we will still happily accept teams, please contact me - Donnie Brooks at (907) 230-6698 or reply here and we will make sure we get you on a roster. This is a great way to get ALASKA off your bucket list and play some good softball at the same time. COME JOIN US. |

Sept. 25, 2017 donniebaseball | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Sun Field s at Big League Dreams Just finished playing 60 AAA at Big League Dreams on Sunday. At the 8:00am game, the sun was so bad that there was 11 strikeouts recorded. Does anyone have ideas on glasses, etc that could help prevent this again/ The UIC would not allow the pitcher to move right or left to help with the vision. We are playing 50's this weekend and don't want to go thru that again. Any ideas would be appreciated. |
