Is it better to stay south of Pendleton (Oceanside) or North of the base?

Discussion: New rule for Five Run Equalizer

In Reno there were five teams in 55AA and two teams in 50AA. The two divisions were combined for the seeding phase only. The equalizer really doesn't equalize anything, at least not at 5 runs. 50-AA should have been canceled for lack of teams. I've also played in situations where a AAA team had to spot a AA team 5 runs. In most cases the 5 runs can be made up in one inning. It's not as bad when itís same level- different age groups but it is still not good. The only purpose of the equalizer is to prevent the host from having to refund tournament fees back to the "short" division. Also some travel arrangements can be difficult to cancel for a full refund. But if there must be equalizers than there should be separate equalizers for age (5-7 runs) and level (10 run minimum- make them work).

Does anyone remember the name of the park facility that was used LAST YEAR in Sacramento/Roseville for 55-AA? How spread out are the parks in Sacramento (in Phoenix they were very spread out)? Is there an area or neighborhood that is centrally located with respect to parks that will be used? Thanks. -avs

Discussion: Ultra2

I recently cracked a new U2 at around 125 swings and I don't hit hard. The bat was new-in-wrapper and slightly new-old-stock. I purchased it 18 months ago and stuck it in a closet until needed.

This would mean the Freak 98 ( which is kind of a dog anyway) should remain legal. Right?
