You can also check out Pitchers Helmet (http://www.pitchershelmet.com/). They also have adult sizes and you can get it with blackout technology to block any glare. Runs about $55.

skip_6 I’m really glad to see you have the compassion to come here and inquire about Don. It’s very unfortunate that he was injured. I am not aware of any kind of protection for the chest/stomach area, but that EvoShield looks promising. I’ve only begun to familiarize myself with protective headgear. There seems to be a lot of improvement in the design of these kinds of helmets. For example the pitching masks on this website http://www.pitchershelmet.com/ look like a great solution. Hopefully one day safety regulations will include masks/helmets.

Discussion: Have you ever noticed how many major brands of softball/baseball equipment there are?

I've always thought about this too...it's pretty crazy how many options there are. Golf has very distinct front runners but those companies also come out with a new driver or putter every couple months which is their way of competing for our dollars.
