Had the same problem a few years ago, compression shorts cured the problem. Keeps the quads tight.

Discussion: what is the outcome of a runner being hit by a batted ball?

What you really hope is that the runner is still ALIVE. There are times in the games when the players are more important then the game.

Discussion: Safety concern for runners on the corners

There is always going to be some risk when you play. A couple years ago we tried playing at 70 foot bases. A lot of guys liked it. It does give you more room to get out of the way. (the heavy guys voted it out) Terry Ohio Silverados

Discussion: Super Mjor Softball-The way the game was meant to be played

Guys in no way was I being critical of the Major+ division. Most players would love to be as gifted as you guys. All I meant was there are different divisions and everyone plays the game as hard as they can, just different levels. Just glad to be able to still play. Thanks Bruce you are a class act. Guys, Not every senior softball player can hit a ball 300 feet. Age takes a toll on everyone. Some guys are lucky and get to the senior divisions in pretty good condition. God Bless you guys. Not everyone falls in this group. AA/AAA players are guys that love the game as much as anyone. I tire of hearing how the game SHOULD be played. God has given some the ability to still shine at an older age, but don't look down on the lower divisions. We may not play at your level but we play just as hard and with the the same emotion and love for the game. Terry McClaskey Ohio Silverado's 55 AA

Discussion: Ft. Myers Winter NationalsHotels

Our Ohio Silverados have played in every Ft Myers National (5) and with some luck won in 2005 as a 50AA. We stay at the Outrigger on Ft Myers Beach. Traffic is a little slow but you are pretty much in the middle of all the fields and it is a really nice area with a lot to do. Good luck to all TerryMcClaskey The Ohio Silverados

Discussion: Congrads to Ohio Silverrados & the teams we played

Our team will be playing in our first Senior World Championship in Arizona. How many teams go to these? We are 55 AA. How big are the brackets? And when you play the East-West game how do they set that up? We will be playing at Rose Mofford Softball Complex. Is this a good complex? Thanks Terry Ohio Silverados 55.

RedEye John, thank you! The games we played with your Dayton team were what Senior Softball is all about! You guys gave us all we could handle and the games could have gone either way. Great battle. Best part was getting to know you as friends again. Thank you. Terry McClaskey The Ohio Silverados PS this really hasnt sunk in yet. Wait till my guys find out they have to move up!

Discussion: OUR TEAM BROKE UP!!!!!!

Gary 19 Sometimes teams schedule tournaments in Jan and have no idea how many teams are going to be there when the time comes. You just play. Our team has been AA for a long time, but we play as hard as we can every time out. They can call the tournaments anything they want, but all we ever want is a chance to compete. As you get older you really cant ask for a whole lot more. Remember just being healthy enough to play is a lot more then a lot of guys have. Terry McClaskey Ohio Silverados

Discussion: Dwindling #s in Manassas !!!??........

The last time our Ohio Silverados played in Manassas we stated in The Old Towne Inn. It was really badddddd. Had to sleep with a chair under the door knob! The pool they advertised was full of mud and crap, hadnt been used in years but didnt tell us until we were checked in. Anyway you still go back and get the crap beat out of you by a team that loaded up. But my guys voted to go and we will be there in 2 weeks! When you live in Ohio anyplace seems better! Terry Mac

Discussion: jersey jags

taits I would agree to combing AA-AAA together. My team is a AA. The Ohio Silverados 55, and if you put AA with AAA played one up with homers it might be interesting. But after day one split the group in half and then play your finals. You might have some AAA teams in the lower half but the AA teams would get a chance to play better teams and get better. Of course all this hinges on teams not sandbagging. But the concept has merit. Terry McClaskey Manager Ohio Silverados

Discussion: REPLANT...... FOOD 4 THOUGHT???

E.NESS One of the best replys to a real problem that Senior Softball will be faceing very soon. Young people not coming out to play. Anything! Bowling is dead. Golf is too expensive. And I guess what we do is too tough. Younger people today play computer games and on the average are just fat! This country needs to wake up before we lose everything we have. We need more ideas from older players to encourage guys to play ball. Some back away because we try to make it safer. Any excuse. We dont help by only posting negative stuff here. Everyone of us knows really good players that have quit for one reason or another, we can start be trying to bring them back. Just my 2 cents. Terry McClaskey Ohio Silverados 55

To any and all Vegas Senior Softball teams. My best player has relocated in Sin City and you guys have a chance to pick up a really good player. Jack Wilson is a great outfielder with a rocket arm. Very fast and a team player. Good luck Jack the Ohio Silverados 50s team will miss you. Terry McClaskey Manager
