Park/Liverpool NY I had a chance to play 3 yrs ago (thanks to Daryl Nielsen) but lived almost 2 hrs away in Old Forge. In Rome now & really looking to get on a league and/or tourney team. I pitch, play 1B & 3B. Love this game - started playing men's when I was 15 - I'm 54 now. I'm reliable - I still play leagues & tourneys in Rome/Utica but want to start 50+ & Senior tournaments. Area needing infielder / P I'm looking for a 50+ team in the Syracuse, New York area that need players - preferably infield. (I can still play outfield, but currently play 3B/1B/P/SS) I LIKE the hot smashes at 3B! First attempt at a 50+ softball, but currently play MUNY League in Utica, as well as leagues in Camden and Rome N.Y. with the 18 & over crowd. Tournaments every weekend I can find one, and winter ball when I can. I met a man who was watching us play vs his grandson's team this past summer, and he suggested the 50+ Syracuse league when I'm old enough. Laughing, I thanked him for the compliment, and told him I'm 50 now. He informed me there are good teams in this league who are always looking for new players. | Nov. 12, 2013 Bobbyray14 | Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: Looking for a competetive minded team to join in 2014 Turning 51 in Jan. 2014 and am looking to explore 50+ softball. I currently play MUNY League in Utica N.Y. as well as men's league in both Rome & Camden with weekend tourneys whenever possible. 35 years experience, all leagues age 18 & over. I play 1st/3rd/P/and SS if needed. I can still run faster than many half my age..(not bragging..that's what I'm told) Wouldn't have a problem with a "tryout" practice, just that the end goal is the Senior Championships / World Series type opportunity one day....
