Is it possible for me to play as a 'pick up' on a team, here in Florida, and play in the Winter Nationals in Nov. 2020 in Ft. Meyers? I can't find any teams near me in South Florida.

Discussion: How does this work?

Hey gals, I'm new here, can it work if a player lives hours away from a team? Doesn't seem like it's possible but do tournaments allow this and what about practice, etc.?

Oh man alive, that sounds fun! I'm 54, living in Florida but having zilch luck trying to find a senior women's team to play on. I did hear from Betty in St. Petersberg, but it's about 5 hours from here, would like to play locally. Do you think I would have luck trying to organize one myself??

Discussion: senior female softball camp?

Thanks, Bruce. This would be ideal but looks as tho it's men. I did email them yesterday so we'll see. In the meantime, heading out to the batting cages around the area to see if anything is brewing up around here. Tough to find a woman's team in South Florida, so I'm going to keep trying. Thanks, again for your response.

Yep, would love to play. I'm in the South Florida area just outside Ft. Lauderdale, where are you located? I'm 54, former fast pitcher but more likely to play infield or outfield. I'm a long drink of water, 5'10' a runner and achin to hit the bases!!

I'm female, 54 and live in the South Florida, area just north of Ft. Lauderdale, south of Boca Raton in Coconut Creek. Am looking to play on a team, but having NO LUCK. Sheesh, looks like I may have to start a team, just as I did 40 years ago in Niles, Michigan ended up organizing an entire team & league which ended up being the first girl's softball team in Niles, Michigan--- and went on to win state championship.
Can it be done again??? :) Please let me know if there is a team I can join and have a blast at the ripe ole age of 54!!!

I can't believe it. What a wonderful site, I just discovered you. I'm 54 living in South Florida and looking to join a senior team. I'm originally from Michigan, lived here for 25 years and aching to play . I've worked out for about a year and got myself in shape, throwing and love my new glove. If anyone can give me info, please let me know. I'm happy as a lark to land here. :)
