Steve...
it always good to see you out there.. Congrats to you & your other team for winning in the Hemet Cal Cup.. :)

Mike..,
Its always good to see out there and barking orders to your team... LOL!! And thanks to your Pitcher by having pity on me. I need all the help I can get. There are no words that I can think of right now that will adequately describe the measure of gratitude I feel for how I got those hits:)

Discussion: Dimarini One

***UPDATE***
Well, I got my DeMarini, put 60+ BP hits on the 30oz this past Saturday, the weather was in the low 80's in San Diego, the bat open up at about 30+, the sound coming off it really changed, my best shot was about 360+.. however, it developed a spiral crack on the "ONE" started on the "N" towards the end of "E". As for the 28oz, it blew up after an additional 35+ hits so all together I put about 150+, after getting it with 50+. The bat has very good pop, so I'm questioning the durability at this stage.. used mixed BP balls Trump Sr. Stote, X-Rock, Utrip Hot Dots.. please post your results should your bat develop any cracks..

Thanks...
Jose

I was able to pick up a used Demar 28oz from one of my Sr. Buddies, had at least 50 hits on it? I put another 30+ on, and yes this bat is really hot.. she breaks in quickly.. got to hit it in a pre-game BP, and this bat easily placed balls in the 330'+ range. (my witness was EASY E. During our game however, it did develop a slight spiral crack towards the end of the barrel. :(

I have a NIW 30OZ coming for back up, during BP(if you can?), try to use low Comp balls.. it does not need a lot of BP... I highly recommend this bat...

Keith..,
You keep referring to 5 organisations. Who are they? I know of only (3-4) SSUSA, MARV'S, Nate (ASA) and Doug MSA/WSL both Doug and Nate only get the 40's teams NO 50+ AND UP.. and most of that is of course, the 40's in (part) refuses to play SSUSA, ONLY in Spring World's and Masters World's, those are on the radar of teams that I know of here in SoCal. So far, from what I've played on and seen.. It's Marv who puts on about 11+ tournaments a year and possibly are attended more than the others combined, but also had has his critics and I'm one of them... LOL!!, but I respect him for what he's doing so far, because he's the only game in town right now..

With all the $$$ that SSUSA makes, I would like to think that you guys would be the top notch Org. to rule Sr. Softball, by adding more dates here in SOCAL and up in NORCAL for teams to play in. I'm talking about the 50's, 55's, 60's and up... So far for July Marv has about..? (14+) teams signed up and I heard a couple from NORCAL.. I know last year Marv tried to his event listed as qualifiers.. not what has happened.. but I'm almost sure that any of Marv's dates would make good qualifiers/recreational events.

Is there politics going on here...? I hope you guys do not lose that July event, due to potential high heat index in Hemet... are you guys thinking of the players and umpires well being...? J/S... :)

Side note, I've also played in Reno to Vegas both the freezing cold to the high heat of Vegas... but we're much older and the body at our stages of life can only hold soooo much.. ;)

That's fine.. However... why would SSUSA purposely put the Cal Cup on the same weekend as the tournament in San Clemente? Isn't that normally done on the weekend after the 4th? The park says they could have had any weekend in July... all weekends were available. BTW... word is that no one rents these fields in July.., because the heat index is about 105 degrees.. that too hot for us old guys... :)

I have question for the the SSUSA STAFF.
How can you schedule an event in Escondido for May 1-6, one week after the LVSSA/SSUSA Event, but then have to cancel it?

Also, why isn't there enough SSUSA tournaments during the season in the SOCAL region? There are at least 100+ Sr. Teams from 40's-80's looking to play SSUSA. Plus plenty of quality fields to use. I'm sure many of these teams would not have a problem travelling to these events.

I'm sure this would also apply to the NORCAL and CENTRAL CA. areas. I don't get it..?

Guys.. what GIBBY59 is saying about the Demar "ONE" is legit, this bat has a very good Pop/Distance to it. I played with him and Ollie on DEMO and the ball was flying of this bat even with the 3" linear crack..

Discussion: NEW YORK AREA...

I'll be in visiting my hometown BROOKLYN to see family and old friends. Would BE nice to get picked up in a slowpitch league that let visitors play or better yet participate in several local BP sessions while I'm there. I'll be staying in Long Island (Kings Park area) from June 27th-July 7th.
thanks in advance...
