| Oct. 25, 2009 SALSAKID49 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: 2010 Census is coming to your door soon...BUT Thanks for forwarding the 411. Is it almost 2010 already? Gee, time really does fly!!! LOL!!!!!!!! Anyway, fraud is a very serious issue and I really like the fact that the Better Business Bureau is concerned with spreading awareness of it. The advice Susan Johnson gives here is pertinent and timely. When you hear about the recent arrest of a Miami man who allegedly had stolen more than 130 million credit card numbers, there is an obvious reason to be cautious about our personal information being out there. These tips are invaluable and should be heeded in all instances. I looked up some information on ACORN and their involvement with the 2010 Census and I am happy to let you know that ACORN will not be conducting the Census, nor providing workers for the Census. Since the Census is so important and helps to determine how federal funds are distributed, how many seats each state will have in the U.S. House of Representatives and provides important information to businesses, who use the data so that they can better market their goods and services, it is important that the Census is as accurate as possible. The Commerce Department, which is responsible for the Census has partnered with more than 30,000 partners who will be promoting the Census and making sure that people know about it. ACORN is a partner organization. Other partner organizations include FedEx, the Self Reliance Foundation, Catholic Charities USA and General Mills, you know, the cereal company. http://www.factcheck.org/2009/06/acorn-and-the-census |

| Oct. 14, 2009 SALSAKID49 | Topic: Bats Discussion: WEIGHT OF BATS Barry, If you're going to sale Miken's U2's.. Not sure if you are getting the 1st time qualifier buy-in directly from MIKEN which I understand is going to be the required $15K.. However, your best bet for selling to Sr.'s is to have about 3/4 of your total purchase in the Black model U2's with about 3/4 of them in 27/28's and then the other 1/4 in 26/30's... And then get about 1/4 of the Red models... with the same in weight as the Black model... Good Luck in selling the bats... LMK if you need any help in selling them... Jose |
| Oct. 8, 2009 SALSAKID49 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: BY FAR THE BEST 50 MAJOR TEAMS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY I had a great time playing with my teammates on Demolition at the LVSS..... well ran tourney, good rules and great ball for hitting... however there some clinches.... in the seeding. We hit extremely well thanks to Adair(great hitter), Brad, Steve, Gino, Max, Gil, Mac, Joe, RayRay, Rick, Barry, Short, and my Boy:Marty... Very impressed with the quality of our team to hit a ton and do really well also get to play good teams like the Merchants, Declair, Tucson Bandits, and Wind City... as for Windy City playing in Major's is a NON-ISSUE.... I rather play teams like them all the time at any tourney... all of teams we just played are the ones that makes you a better player....:) all the teams hit very well and they did it without a lot of Hr's... LOL!!! teams with the most hits will win...... we lost to them in the 1st game by 1 run... :) and then losing to them in the Ship' game and we played just as hard as should... overall a good effort to all who played and especially our team... in this tourney.... Enjoy life always... Jose #24 |

| May 18, 2009 SALSAKID49 | Topic: Bats Discussion: Senior Miken end loaded... Great bat.... I have a 28oz, and mostly used it w/about 15/Ab's this past weekend in Vegas. It was about 103 degrees, it had about 225-280 swings on it. And finally cracked on Sunday, even with the hot weather the durability for me did not last long.... But I will get the Maxload for future tourneys.... |
| May 18, 2009 SALSAKID49 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Rumors about balls The 52 COR, 275 that was used to test this past weekend in Vegas, should not be used at all.... Period! Most of the comments I heard were negative. Just my IMHO.... TEAM DEMOLITION #24 |

| March 16, 2008 SALSAKID49 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Palm Springs E, Game #2 between MAVERICKS / MACII was a good one... The reat of the tounery was well timed and runned... Good games between most of the teams.... But for my team we got burned twice by the Blue's blown calls... and the other issue was mother nature... winds whipped and gusted up to about 50MPH in the middle of play all day Friday day/night.... Most balls hit into the OF's, the wind kicked the ball back to the infields... LOL!!!! Jose Team Demolition #24 |

| Jan. 20, 2008 SALSAKID49 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Significant Rule Changes for SSUSA 2008 Season! On Number 3 we will need some clarity on this rule... does that mean............... -If the ball hits the ground before the rubber will it be a "LIVE" ball...? -will there be a 6-8' box behind the rubber? -If a line drive ball goes within the box is it ruled a DBO? -will the pitcher need to have both feets inside the box should the ball strike the pitcher on a line for it to be a DBO? "3-Any batted-ball that strikes the pitcher on fly or the bounce will now be ruled immediately by the umpire as a “DEAD BALL OUT” |
