| April 30, 2014 komodov | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Game Time Notifications So the deadline is mid April. There are a set number of fields, a set number of teams. What is so complicated that it takes nearly a month to make the brackets? It is actually relatively simple. Set up the Saturday brackets with the later starting times given to the earlier registrants. This gives an incentive to register early. If a team fails to show, the opposing team gets a bye. I would think most teams would trade being able to schedule their traveling arrangements for the possibility of losing playing one game. |

The schedules for the other brackets are posted. Is there any reason the schedules can not be distributed earlier? It would save an extra night in the hotel if we knew when the first game on Saturday was scheduled. |
