| Jan. 5, 2015 DaKidinOregon | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Signs of Getting Old(er) This happened 2 times recently...wife and I go golfing.After arriving I remove her clubs....place her bag behind me..look into the trunk and say...Honey..we forgot to put your clubs in the trunk! After making a 1 hr drive to a golf course,,,I leave my bag at the bag drop, park..as I begin to put my shoes on "realize" I don't see my clubs and spend about 5-10 minutes calling my wife,cursing... etc before I remember my clubs are at the bag drop...I am 62 1/2...so it begins..... |

I was just struck by the fact that "many on my team" felt its he ONLY choice if given the chance. Since I have been playing SSB for only 6-7 yrs...not long compared to many on the team.. the ..."Since I've been playing for 30yrs and you ALWAYS pick home".. was the best argument presented...that seemed pretty weak to me...especially when we were kicking Home Team butt as visitor. |

Won the last 5 qualifier games..won the event, 2 as Home team, the last 3 as the Visitor. In Vegas..won 5 straight as the Visitor..10 in a row....however it was a BIG issue to most so ..we voted..9 for home, 2 for visitor..we lost big time. My thinking was we keep the scoring pressure on our opponent and sock it to them in the open...it worked well but in spite of being 5-0 most felt home was the ONLY way to go. What say you? |
