Discussion: Achilles Tendon Injury

As already mentioned. every case is different. I just has extensive heel and achillies surgery in March. Pressure on the achillies by any shoe would cause it to start burning. Xray revealed extra heel bone was tearing the tendon. Therapist and doc both say it is a year's recovery. Therapy three times a week and I see improvement, but it begins to hurt by mid-day and I still haven't worn a shoe since the surgery. Measurements reveal the heel is still a little swollen because of the pin the doc had to insert in the heel. Not unusual. Your doc can explain the procedure. elected the surgery because of the continuing damage on the achillies by the extra bone.

Discussion: Texas 60's AA Team Needs Players for Vegas

Thanks. New to this managing stuff and never had to seek exemption players before. Pain when players commit to tournaments then drop. Very few 60 AA teams is this region, so SSUSA's ruling that players must come from the same region is detrimental to teams and to age/classification eligible players outside the region seeking a team just to play in that particular tourney.

Discussion: Texas 60's AA Team Needs Players for Vegas

Our 60's AA men's team is now short a couple of players for Vegas. Down to 9 players so need to add a couple of more players. To add "exemption" players, SSUSA is telling us the players must be from the 65 age bracket, rated AA and live in Texas or one of its adjoining states. Must have a current player registration with SSUSA too. Infielder, outfielder, pitcher, any. If you meet these SSUSA requirements and want to play next weekend (18-20 Sep), call or text me ASAP. 817-727-1571.

Sorry but no. You're in the same "boat" as Playball5. SSUSA denied my request for an exemption for Playball5 because he (and you) live in Vegas and are not in our region (TX or its adjoining states). When a team gets below the roster minimum rule, it would be beneficial for the team and a requesting player for SSUSA to approve an exemption player outside the region as long as that player meets the age and player rating eligibility. Now I'm down to 9 players for Vegas and the deadline has passed to pull out and get a refund.

Have a few on our roster that can't make Vegas now and this should make us eligible for player exemption requests. What's your phone number?

One is the former Dallas Spurs 60's, a AA team and the other is the MB Flying 60's AAA team from Oklahoma. Most players on both teams moved up to the 65 age bracket this year leaving some players ineligible to move up. Those left behind have combined to make up a 60's AAA team using the MB Flying name. Seeing my name and address (Arlington, TX) is on the SPA and SSUSA Team Registration forms, you can say we're based out of the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. The SPA tournament in Georgetown, TX the end of March will be our first tournament since Ft. Myers last Nov. Need a dedicated player or two.
