I have a 27 oz yellow combat, used it in fall league, and B/P. this summer i wanted to save my U-2, so i started using my Combat.OH MY,it got HOT,homeruns 30' further then U-2. Easily balls gone 350'.For me i might just stick with a Combat.

Discussion: Reebok Senior Bat

Curt and too all who hit the new Reebok bat. I also hit with the new bat,yes it was as a nice bat.It felt the same as a U-2, it hit the same as my new U-2"special edition". As far as "pop",i'm a ok power hitter,i can use any "senior" bat and hit a home run,to me it comes to durability, not many of us can spend the money on these bats.If Reebok wants to sell these bats, put a warrenty on them. For me i'll stick with my Yellow Combat.

Discussion: Call at 1st base

I posted this message.More Info from our official,In his opionion ANY play in the infield on a ball is considered a play on the batter, even if no throw was made.
No where in the SSUSA rule does it devine a play on the batter,MAYBE the rules commitee needs to define this,so it is not someones opionion.

Discussion: Call at 1st base

For any umps out there. Here is the question. A batter hits a slow roller in the infield, the 1st baseman is in position to catch the ball, but the fielder never throws the ball. The runner hit the "white" base. The Umps calls him out. Senior softball rules 8.3(1) say the runner will touch the outside base if a play is made on him.

Discussion: Time Limits

Here is a idea. Have tournament directors have ENOUGH nice fields, so we have time to play a WHOLE game. Come on they schedule 1hr & 15 Min for a game. The time is behind after the 1st game of the day. Someone mentioned running on and off the field, this must be a infielder,Trust me i respect you if you are. BUT guys count up the distance a outfielder moves over the span of a 7-8 game tourney. A 1-1 count is fine, WITH one foul.
Come on guys, when have any changes been made to these rules. I have spoken to Directors, wrote letters to the rules committee. NOTHING changes, we the guys who pays the bills are at the mercy of these directors. Once we pay our money they got us.BUT for me, whens the next tourney i can get into.See whoever is going to the ISA in Tenn.

SLOBALL since you won a Ultra II,does that mean you will start to use it in Senior tournaments. You are the only guy i know that uses a ASA bat and hits them as far as you do. How are doing, your ankle heal up,ok.I know what you mean about weights on the bats,my combats are that way.Take care SLOBALL

What is wrong with this.Like these groups,SSUSA and SPA,both have a hard time getting enough teams for there tourneys.Spa schedules one the same weekend as the SSUSA Northern championship.Come on people we want to play,BUT can't when you schedule things like this.
