I wanted to congratulate ALL the winners in their respective divisions and give cudos to all the teams that participated in the SW Shootout. I also want to thank SSUSA for their work and to the umpires and their coordinating staff members who helped make the tournament happen.

Would like to give a special thanks to the good folks who gave me rides to/from the airport and the hotel while I stayed in Vegas and California. Bob Romero, Ed Kahle, Glen, Robert & Jason.
Thanks Guys,
Ed Andrews

Will be in Vegas next week so will be shipping today through Friday then out of pocket next week while playing in the SW Shootout.

Discussion: Do you use a Heavy/Warm up ball

Bobby, Please send me one. I will show it to my teammates in Vegas next week at SW Shootout. I will use my Cannon for wall toss and use the Evil for tourney and league warmup. I have found that playing the outfield, I need a specific warm up routine so as not to blow out my arm in an early throws from deep outfield plays.

I leave for Vegas next Monday. Perhaps you could call me. Appreciate it.
Thanks,
Ed Andrews

Discussion: Reebok Melee end loaded bat

There is no change in the Melee process. There may be some change in materials purchased in bulk and used in the manufacture process, but the Melee is the same as it has been from the beginning. Reebok has not made a great deal of profit from senior bat sales when comparing to profits from Taylor Made golf or CCR hockey stick, etc etc, thus the cut in production.

I have balanced and end load Melee's and Barrage's in stock and can ship same day if contacted before noon. Appreciate the opportunity to help you.

Have a great day out there.

Discussion: Do you use a Heavy/Warm up ball

Bobby, I have used the orange Cannonball for years and years. I throw 25 times with it before a game and then go to the normal softball 25 times before we start a game. The only concern I have (and it is not major) is that it is a different size than a normal softball. I also use the Cannonball in the local school gym and throw it off of a concrete block wall to bounce ground balls back to me when training for a tourney.

Tell me more about your product please.

I hate that for you Dan. Has happened to me in the past. We played game on field one on Wednesday. Perhaps you can contact Doug, the SSUSA tournament director or Tommy, the SSUSA senior umpire. Try both of them through the Sacramento offices. Good luck with finding them Dan.

I always enjoy Daves comments. He gets lonely out there in RF with Chain Link LOL.

FoFo. Enjoyed meeting you DP guys in Bullhead City. I didn't catch any fish in the river after the tourney but they are in there. saw pics of 15 pounders caught that week.

Discussion: Reebok Barrage and Senior bats in general...

Obviously there are always going to be the anonymous nay sayers like the person above who makes a statement with no knowledge.

The Barrage is a great bat and I have many friends and customers who love theirs. Unfortunately, some of them had blemishes and Reebok has stepped up and has taken care of the problem. It is impossible to determine which batch you are getting your bat from but from the numbers that have been sold, most of the first batch bats are already out there and the second batch has been of quality without problem.

Thanks to those who have patient, understanding and a positive outlook. So many of you have told me the Barrage is a great bat and that you love it!
Sincerely,
Ed Andrews

To those of you who purchased Barrage bats from me recently, if you by chance experienced a breakage, contact me right away and send the bat back to me. I will get an RA # and have a bat shipped to you. I also have Melee balanced and end load bats including 29's and 30's.
Thanks,

I just returned from Mesquite and played with Scrap Iron Classics. I want to thank Duwayne Pillard for his hard work and his gentleman ship. Want to thank Doug and the SSUSA staff. Want to congratulate all the seniors who participated and played hard.

Really enjoyed seeing many friends and players I know and have played with or against over the years. Hope that everyone made it home safely.

Have played a lot of ball and still work hard to stay strong and make a difference. Was asked to play with a Tucson team and just learned they will play most of their tournaments down south and I can't make all those local tourneys. If you have a good team and need a work oriented player to help you win games, give me a call or email. I'm a lefty, an outfielder and play 60's.
Have a Super Day!

Discussion: Bull Head City Torunament

Hello Bruce, I was contacted by Double Play So CA and will play 55's with them. I appreciate your input, thanks. Was going to play SSUSA this year with Road Runners 60AAA but they wanted a local Tucson player rather than out of state player soooo wish them a great season and moving forward.

Will have Reebok Melee's and Barrage's and Reebok shoes with me at Bullhead this week-end.

Discussion: Reebok Barrage update

Gentlemen, I'm surfing for a few days more. Reebok is not going to change their systems with regard to batch itemization. There were SOME broken bats. Not that many. They made the adjustments. Very fe of my guys had problems but Reebok made good on them.

Heif, I am selling a lot of new bats because people know they are good bats and if they get a blemished bat, they are made whole for the most part.

I'm one of the guys who bought up Barrage's and Melee's so let me know if I can be of help to you. I return to the mainland on the 21st.

The Barrage is an excellent bat in my opinion. I have been swinging one since October. I have them in stock and would be happy to assist you with either Barrage or Melee. Will be in Puerto Rico for next 10 days then in Bullhead City, then Phoenix.

Discussion: What's the best bat for open tournaments?

Guys, I just read this thread all the way through. Although I have had a good relationship with Alan, the thread above seemed to me to be way over the top. There are quite a few good experienced men that have knowledge and the desire to help players with their bat needs and I happen to be one of them. There are hundreds of players whom I have helped and there will be hundreds more. It was a bit disappointing to reread this thread this morning but it is what it is.

I will be in Bullhead City and have ALL Reebok models, both end load and balanced Melee's and Barrage's.
