This outfit is the worst for getting results. Played in the ISSA TOC last weekend and the results were posted about every hour for all 3 days. If they can do it SSUSA should be able to. But once they have your money, they don't care.

Does any Florida team need a player for the 55 or 60 division in Raleigh for the eastern nat. tourney in august? I will be there during that time so if you need someone, let me know.

Thanks

Discussion: How did you get your start in softball?

I started in 1970 in Massachausetts where I played a lot of baseball, and played softball on sunday mornings with my brother in law. I moved to Maine in the spring of 71 and looked around for some baseball. There was none. I looked around for some softball and the only leagues were 2 hours away. I put an ad in the local newspaper to start a league. We had 4 teams the 1st year, 8 the next, then 16. We had as many as 40 teams some years. That was pretty good for a ruraul area. My kids grew up watching and they now play. The last 10-12 years I have played softball with my sons and get together every summer for one tourney in Maine. Thats my story.

Discussion: Bat Passion !

hey Guys,
I dont write often, but read alot. Felt I had to add my 2 cents worth.
I play 55 major plus. I buy one bat a year. I get info on whats hot from my teamates and go with that bat. We go to 6-10 Nationals a year, but if I cant use the bat I like, I dont go. I dont do A.S.A or N.S.A. for that reason. It is not a matter of hitting home runs, bat feeling comfortable with what I use. I am not a rich man and cannot afford to buy a different bat for every tourney. Just my opinion.

Discussion: Best Softball Bat

Although I have not used one yet, I am told by people who use it, the Combat A/V (anti virus) is the best out there that has been approved for ASA and all other softball. I will be getting mine in about a week and will let you know if it is true or not. They say better than a Freak, just a notch below the U2

I have heard that everytime we went but didn't happen. Who knows, maybe this time it will be a nice tourney, but still a lot of money to take a chance

Hey GQ
I have been to the National Senior Games 3 times. Each time was disappointed. Too expensive, poor organization, bad fields, and lousy balls and umpiring. They spread the games out so you can plan on a week there. They put you on make shift fields because they would have to pay for good ones, which they wont do. Balls are donated, and umps are not real umps, but volanteers.
You would be better served to spend your money by going to a SSUSA or SPA tourney. Cant go wrong with Vegas either.
