There were only four 55+ teams entered (2 major and 2 AAA). My team played both of the AAA teams twice (spotting 5 runs each game) and never got to play the other major team. Fool me once and that's all it takes. I will not go back. |

If an assortment of bats were furnished and made available at each game on each field, and controlled by the umpire, everyone would have to use one of them. That would obviously level the playing field for everyone. That of course is not realistically feasible and will never happen. It would be very interesting if it did. |

I have heard differing opinions that this rule has been changed and is now allowed in 2012. However, I have not been able to find this rule change actually documented. |
