We has an Ump at Desert Breeze Friday morning for 60 AAA pool game Titans versus Texas Thunder, that had never umpired a slow pitch softball game!! Our catcher had to tell him what was legal and what wasn't.

Discussion: Heat

After Playing in College Station Tx. several weeks ago with a heat index of 105, I experienced cramps so bad I couldn't drive home.
Have done Pickle Juice, Potassium & calcium supplements, with no success. Then I read an article about Magnesium being the key to unlock the muscle to allow calcium and potassium to do their job. I took 800 mgs of Magnesium and 400 mgs of Potassium a day before and during playing at Plano Tx this weekend. The heat index was 104 all 3 days. Played outfield all 5 games, and pinch ran at least 10 times Not one cramp anywhere, has anyone else tried Magnesium?? http://www.livestrong.com/article/525008-cramping-magnesium/

Great Posts!!

Galveston Tx 1980 Night game clear as a bell till about 12' up ,, then fog so thick it's like a blanket. The ump is going to call the game, we convince him to hit us a ball if we catch it we can play,, we send our center fielder out with a ball hidden on him, The ump hits the ball to him, we don't know where that ball went, but our center fielder comes running in with his stashed ball. The ump says "Play Ball" The first batter hit a Shot in that fog bank, I looked at the Rover, he looked at me, and we both hit the ground with our hands over our heads.. The Ump runs out,and says " Thats It, Game Over"

I tried driving that cap out in a vise, with a chisel, and it would not come out, its going to be a practice bat anyway,, so I'll just clean whats exposed and use the 3M Marine Glue, a Shrimper I work with says its good stuff! Thanks
