Everyone bring your rain gear. The local weather people are stating this morning that there is a 70% chance on Saturday. A 40% chance tomorrow. The outfields particularly near the fence will be soft and mushy with any rain as we have had quite a bit of rain this year.

Don: Lefty is looking forward to picking on everyone in RC & RF.

Wow, oneofeleven, who do you play for in Montgomery or better , who are you? You are right about the senior players having to drive to one of those two towns. And, sending you email Misty since I don't have a clue who you are.

Shaping up to be a good opening tourney this weekend. We just hope the weather holds as there is a good chance of rain on Saturday at this time. Anyone need any info, leave your email on this post with your question.

Rumor is about 35 teams with 8- 50s, 5-55s and 8-60s. I assume the rest are the 65s and 70s. M25 is correct to check with Johnny Andrews as he has a list of teams.

This is a very good tourney to kick things off. More teams should participate. Easy location to get to in B'ham. See you there, Lefty.

Discussion: Advice on Shin Guards

thebull: Ditto with GT except I cut the knee cap off. I could never find a shin guard that was either substantial enough or was difficult to remove. The umpire shin guards worked very well. I got mine at Dick's Spoting Goods.

Discussion: Looking for a end cap for my Combat

Rabbit: The end cap kept coming out of my Mayhem last year. I tried different glues and epoxies, etc. but nothing held. I emailed Worth and explained the circumstances and asked to return it and let them repair it (naturally I would pay for this repair). Nothing, they never answered 8 emails so another worthless customer service. Like Bashbro, the umps kept accusing me of altering the bat which I had not. Worth could have easily determined such. Anyway, it was recommended by a couple of guys with a bat company at spring training that I try J-B Weld. I purchased a new end cap via the internet (because the last time it flew out it was stepped on and cracked) and used J-B and it is still holding. Leftie, I had a pitcher accusing me of doing it on purpose and wanted me banned from the league. I have had no trouble with the red combat and one of our locals has a new yellow senior gear and it has some surface cracks at the end of the barrel but besdiaes that is awesome.
