May 2, 2007 batguyaz | Topic: Bats Discussion: Who is your 'best hitter' Would love to see those home run contest. Too bad our Az guy, homerun Bill does not play tournaments. In any case it would still be fun to watch. |
April 23, 2007 batguyaz | Topic: Bats Discussion: Who is your 'best hitter' It would neat to see some of this great hitters in a contest. sounds like there is super talnet out there. I am not sure about your local hitters but we can vouch for Billy with the following ASA bat = 348ft Yellow outlaw bat = 390ft Either way we would love to see all this great hitters play in one spot, but know that won't happen. Hats off to all you big swings out there. |
April 22, 2007 batguyaz | Topic: Bats Discussion: Who is your 'best hitter' Thanks for all the post. Our group of players here in Az have been talking about hitting, since what is more important in life and who we think is a great hitter and why. Since our leagues and field are so spread out it is hard to label a few names. One sure sign of a great hitter, one that stands apart from the rest is how the defense reacts then this batter steps up to the plate. Not just a shift or to move up or back but a reaction to his place in the lineup. Talk before and during the game as what to do with him, to pitch or walk, pitch in or out. His mere present at the plate is a source for talk within the defense. This my friends is the sign of a great hitter. There are those meeting this requirement and then a few at the next level, those can create what was stated above and add more. This is the guy that can hit the ball with such acridity that it becomes a sense of fear, a player that can hit hard, deep and with control. Rare to find such a guy but I am sure we all have our share within each state or area. Since my group of friends and teammates are not able to see many of the great tournaments in SSUSA and see these great players do their thing. We have to sit around having a brew and just talk about so I thank you for allow me to run on. IAs a whole we are proud of our local guy (homerun Bill) and friend which we think is one of the very best nation wide, if not maybe the best. May you all continue to hit the green and live well. |
April 18, 2007 batguyaz | Topic: Bats Discussion: Who is your 'best hitter' boy did that go south...how about this, with any bat or ball, who is the htter in your area that you would fear the most and why. Is it because he has great power or skill to hit anywhere ? Maybe we can put together a top 10 list of hittters.... |
April 17, 2007 batguyaz | Topic: Bats Discussion: Who is your 'best hitter' Tell us who your best local hitter is and why..... Remember that homeruns with a U2 don't really count - so lets talk about guys that can hit with an ASA bat only - |
April 12, 2007 batguyaz | Topic: Bats Discussion: Rip It Elite Question, Re: Sanctioning by SSSUA I think, maybe there might be a possiablity of somewhat of a response to the very idea you have expressed. In other words, no one is talking right now, very quiet on the Rip It front and even Billy boy is quiet. So something, maybe just might be possiable sometime down the road....maybe |
April 4, 2007 batguyaz | Topic: Bats Discussion: Rip It Elite Question, Re: Sanctioning by SSSUA I have only seen 'homerun Bill' on fields twice in the past month or so. I understand he is very busy with college softball and dealer stuff. My guess is busniess is very good and told me with a wink that all will be well soon will our desires to use the senior elite in SSUSA tournaments. So that means they will have something ready to go soon or he wants to ask me out on a date. |
March 23, 2007 batguyaz | Topic: Bats Discussion: Elite Senior ?? Has anyone heard if the yellow Rip It elite senior will be getting the 1.20 on it anytime soon. So we can start using them in SSUSA tournaments. |
March 11, 2007 batguyaz | Topic: Bats Discussion: Buzzard shame Allow me ot explain our desire and passion here in Arizona. I am sure that in the backyard of Miken there is a pasion and acceptance for the product and people of the company. There is personal interaction with the players form Miken folks and such. So when they started out I am sure the passion level was high there, now they are a successful national company with many loyal customers. This is what we have here in Arizona, Rip It is right here, one on one with the players, free hitting clinics, test bats and a Rip It owner that is proactive with our senior softball players. He is also a 'legend in our own minds - LOL - for hitting which makes him stand out even more. So we are home base attached to the company because of the personal connection. Add to that a great product that is such a passion within our softball lives and it is easy to understand the excitment. We here in the East Valley would have the same passion for Miken, Combat or any other company if they just happen to be with us, in person, on the field each week. So we, the east valley players are not pumping up Rip It because of cheap promotion, we are simply responing to personal interaction of a friend, product and company - combined. |
March 11, 2007 batguyaz | Topic: Bats Discussion: Buzzard shame man, I get in more touble with you guys than at home. What did I do now ?? |
March 10, 2007 batguyaz | Topic: Bats Discussion: Buzzard shame The young lady with the City of Chander P/R that was out there today said her office got many calls complaining about the Buzzards, some about the walking of Bill but most just about a tournament team playing in Rec ball and some about what a bunch of jerks. I heard about the HR that hit the power box. I agree that it should help us Rip It outcast with proof to the unbelivers that this bat is for real. I thinnk the company deserves some repect as well. |
March 10, 2007 batguyaz | Topic: Bats Discussion: Best Softball Bat Maybe we can say the Rip It senior is the best balanced bat for senior players. Since no one bat is best for all. |
March 6, 2007 batguyaz | Topic: Bats Discussion: Buzzard shame Thanks, I think we have reached an agreement that good hitter should be allowed to 'do their thing' unless it is a normal defensive move. By the way, our team plays BG this saturday, 310 ft fences or not, if a guy that can hit ASA 340ft, we're walked the bugger..LOL |
March 6, 2007 batguyaz | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: If you believe in God; finish this sentence.............. To my family, my pretty wife which I love with all my heart.....better now than the day I married her. |
March 6, 2007 batguyaz | Topic: Bats Discussion: Buzzard shame This post is going south - the topic is about walking good hitters or letting them hit and that is all. I have known BG for a long time, not a tournament player, still works full time ane has kids at home. Gives up his time for some free hitting clinics and is well liked on and off the field. So he hits better than most, big deal. He still has a belly, tells bad jokes and is a fair pitcher at best. So let's just stick to the subject at hand. |
