| Sept. 3, 2010 SLOBALL1 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Question about Ratings Michigan Vet.Congradulations on your win.I agree that the rating system needs some attention.Given the current criteria for team ratings and our success last season, I do agree that we should have been moved up. Is your team planning on attending the TOC? |
| Sept. 1, 2010 SLOBALL1 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Question about Ratings canljack, I agree with Jawood as well. After last season -we were totally expecting to be re-classified, but we were not.Why is anyone's guess. |
| Sept. 1, 2010 SLOBALL1 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Question about Ratings Curveball-Angus. I know which team Michigan Vet is refering to.No,our roster did not change from the Regional to the TOC. Exactly the same with no pick-ups.We don't have a big budget and only play a couple tournaments a year but, when we do play-we play to win and we play by the rules. And one last thing to Michigan Vet. if we deserve to be moved up.How about your team? You beat us! |
| Aug. 15, 2010 SLOBALL1 | Topic: Teams looking for players Discussion: 50AAA Chicago team looking for a player for Lansing, Mi Dbax .No as a resident of Michigan I was denied by the association to play with a team from Illinois because of boundary. |
| Aug. 11, 2010 SLOBALL1 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: USSSA WORLD SERIES Butch you put on a hitting clinic my man.Way to go!Big fun playing you guys in the finals. And you and I are in agreement.I saw plenty of homeruns too.I know we hit our limit each game and we don't have what you would call "homerun hitters". |

| May 31, 2010 SLOBALL1 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Jimmy Clark Memorial Tournement No problem. I still can't understand how he wouldn't know the make up of teams by age group. But that was his response. |
| May 30, 2010 SLOBALL1 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Should a bat be confiscated Bruce please note question marks (?). Generally those (??)mean that one is sking for clarification. |
| May 30, 2010 SLOBALL1 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Jimmy Clark Memorial Tournement I e-mailed the same question to J.Perry.Is response: Tournament has been full for about three weeks now. Total count is 20 teams & I'm not sure how they break down yet. There will probavly be a Gold, Silver, Etc due to different classifications. Hope this helps. Johnny |
| May 30, 2010 SLOBALL1 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Should a bat be confiscated Every time a pitcher gets hit with a batted ball. 1.the bat should be confiscated and checked to see if it's altered? So Bruce is your Conclusion:the only way a pitcher can get hit with a batted ball is if the bat is illegal? |
| May 27, 2010 SLOBALL1 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: lansing tourney There was a lot not done by the rules with this one. Linedrive/Butchs won. Doug and Dons second. |

| April 12, 2010 SLOBALL1 | Topic: Teams looking for players Discussion: Looking for 55 plus team in MI for tourny play Most of the games are at played at the the GR Rec Center, some are also played at Whistlestop Park while a few are played in Portage at the fields on Westnedge.Per the 2010 schedule 90% are at the Rec Center (36TH street). I miss quite a few because of my tournment schedule but ,it is a very well run league.ASA bats by the way for 50's. 60 use Senior approved bats. |

| March 25, 2010 SLOBALL1 | Topic: Bats Discussion: Weight of bats Hey Bullet. No I won't swing it at all. I'll stick to what works for me. I'll hold on to it for a while and will ultimately sell it.I still have an issue with the ankle but,it's getting better.See you in Indy. |
| March 23, 2010 SLOBALL1 | Topic: Bats Discussion: Weight of bats I weighed them digitally at work and then for confirmation had them weighed a second time at the postal service.I got the same reading both times. My game bat-again a Worth bat(2007 model)3 yrs. old is stickered at 28 oz.Out of curiosity I weighed it today and it weighs 27.1 oz.I guess it would be prudent to weigh them before you buy-if you're looking for close to an exact weight. |
| March 23, 2010 SLOBALL1 | Topic: Bats Discussion: Weight of bats How do bat Manufacture determine the weight of a bat. I got a warranty return bat from Worth that is supposed to be 28 oz.but actually weighs 27.3 oz. I won a Miken UltraII at the rececnt TOC that is stickerd at 27 oz and actually weighs 27.96 oz. Don't mfg weigh the bats before they slap a sticker on them? |
