Discussion: Montgomery results?

Bruce there were three 55 teams in the tournament, plus the Sportsplex team. B'55 who have a number of the old Kayson 55's on the team and Garrett's 55's out of Tennessee. They are both real good teams and have a great group of men playing. As for Johnny S. well he hit a few out this weekend and made the All-tournament team, he really looks good after what he went through with the knee replacement. Carl is still in rehab and working hard to get back. Tommy who had knee replacement is also back and doing well. We haven't seen Rich since his surgery. The tournament was well played and I learned alot playing against the upper class teams, it is slow pitch and you must hit the ball. Hope your family is well and hope to see you in Birmingham in couple of weeks.

Hey Bruce, this is Kenny from GA/AL Masters, and to answer your questions, the Sportsplex team did put on a hitting display, they are great at what they do. We played them 3 times this weekend and I do not have to tell you the results. They are a very classy team and I only pitched against them twice, and they do know how to use all the fields and hit it when they want to. GA/AL Masters won the tournament and I didn't quite understand the way they did things, but it was good playing these type men and know that you have individuals who love the game as they do. They are really a repectful bunch of guys, when it comes to hitting the middle with the sun dead in the pitchers eyes. I'm glad because I do want to play a little while longer. Good luck to the Sportsplex team.

Discussion: Plate & Mat

In regards to the use of the Plate & Mat, I am not sure exactly where this originated, however, when I was in the Air Force, and stationed in Panama Canal Zone, we used the Mat in some tournaments against the local Panamanian teams. We did not use the plate as a strike, the ball had to hit the Mat.

I just wanted to add, that our women play an important role in the war on terrorism, just as our men do.

Discussion: Pensacola Tournament

Just wanted to let all the teams know that I enjoyed playing against some really talented individuals this past weekend. I play for Southern Softball, and it was a great competitive tournament, sorry we came in the bottom, but we have a great bunch of guys and love to play the game. It is always a pleasure to play against "PattyMack", he can truly hit a softball, and a great competitor. RT you have a great nucleolus of a team. Brickyard you guys really hit the ball against us and have a really competitive team. The fields were in excellent shape and the majority of the umpiring was top notch. Pray for our men in the troubled regions of the world.
